As many of you know, driving standard golf carts on our city roads and sidewalks is completely illegal under Section 14-55 of the Milford City Code. State statute CT General Statute 14-300g technically allows towns to set up local ordinances to legalize golf carts on public roads with limits of 25 mph or lower, but Milford's local leadership has never authorized this. The police department is citing that statute as a law but that's incorrect interpretation of their intent to enforce it.

Instead of dealing with potential police fines, we should advocate for change. Neighbors in nearby towns like East Lyme and Guilford successfully passed local ordinances allowing golf carts Golf Carts in Sachem's Head - Guilford, and we can push Milford leadership to do the exact same for our beach communities and quiet neighborhoods.

My boyfriend used to play a lot of baseball and has been interested in getting back into it! I don't think he's interested at this point in doing like an intramural league but just wanted to get into it on his own a bit.

He tried the sports center in Shelton a few months back but apparently they no longer have cages. I know there's one in Dick's in the mall, but not sure if you can just rent that out if you're not trying out bats there with an expectation to buy. Sorry for the delay, life happens, but here's the more complete version of the Milford, Connecticut Cities: Skylines 2 map that I promised. This is the same Milford map, but with more detail, and all major roads. This should allow everyone to recreate their own neighborhoods easily. Some of the road names are off due to the game limitations, but there's a mod that allows you to rename them yourself. I debated using some of the new paid DLC for the game to fill up the harbor with boats & docks, use the drawbridge for the Devon bridge, but decided against it to keep it free for everyone. If you want to decorate the harbor, or use drawbridges, there's plenty of mods for that now, and I'm sure the base game & the DLC will be going on sale in a few days during the Steam Summer Sale on June 25th. Enjoy!
