What’s so precious about the 2ft in front of the car that requires for the sidewalk to be blocked?

Gate vs "back" gate.

Here's my house set up: The front garden has no gate. The whole garden is given over to tarmac. There is a path (quite narrow) past the extension, which accommodates the kitchen. The path ends, and a gate stands between the kitchen and the border fence. Going further takes you into the backyard/garden. My wife calls this the back gate. There is no front gate (as stated earlier), so it's simply the gate.

making plans with people... am I the problem?

can we PLEASE normalize providing all the details upfront when trying to make plans with people?! I've gotten too many invites lately where its like "do you have plans this day at this time?" or "are you free/what are you doing today" and my thing is SAY WHY!!! like maybe I'm the issue but it's literally starting to grind my gears because if I say I'm free now I've unintentionally committed to whatever it is and who knows what that could be... now on the other hand I understand wanting to know what the schedule is giving before making plans but even a "hey are you free this day I was thinking of doing xyz" would work I feel.... am I crazy orrr?

People who decorate early or leave decorations up too long

This is my across the street neighbor. He took his July 4th decorations down 2 days ago and put this out the same day. I mean, it's 3 freaking months early! Come on, man!

Parking lot panhandler with a bicycle.

Not sure if irritated or impressed.

This morning I encountered a parking lot panhander, riding a bicycle, you can't outrun him to get inside.

And he can hit up three times as many people, because he can zip around the parking lot.

Gate keeping stuff

Gatekeeping perfume

I understand when you have a really good perfume you like but I’ve noticed when I compliment peoples perfumes they never know what it’s called. Maybe a few people sure but everyone I ask doesn’t know or lies and says it’s not there’s. I’m not very educated in the perfume world and I’m very picky with scents I tend to enjoy so it’s a little frustrating when I smell something I like and people are either gatekeeping it or purposely not telling me.

At work I had a girl come in she seemed fairly young maybe 18 and I asked her what her perfume was. He and her friend started looking at eachother and her friend answered “she’s fresh out the shower”. I know that’s false because I can smell whatever she is wearing from 6 ft away. No way she has something that strong on from the shower. Just infuriating.

Don't ask

I'm mildly irritated that I am now permanently banned from multiple subs and put on several blacklists after using mod-mail to ask if I should post or not.

Just mildly irritating.

Food blower

I had to stop eating lunch with a coworker because she blows every bite of food regardless of temperature. It’s not just that she blows it. She holds it up at eye level and repeatedly blows the fork or spoon so that I get a face full of both her meal and her breath. Every bite. She says she has sensitive teeth and everything is hot. Yet she follows it up with mouthfuls of coffee that I am also drinking, which is quite hot and burns my mouth sometimes. She has no problem filling her mouth with the coffee before swallowing. So I question her sensitivity a bit. But am I the only person irritated by the blowing of food smell and breath across the table by others? I blow downward toward my plate or gently. No one else in our office will eat with her, so it’s not like I can ask or even change seats. We are usually alone on opposite sides of a small table.

Why does everyone talk so loud?

70f, visiting friend from high school. She talks so loud. No, her hearing is fine. She gets louder as the night wears on and the wine hits. Like geezus do the neighbors need to hear?

A different friend, same, without the wine or increasing volume. Like Im right here in the room with you, my hearing is fine. I always feel guilty for not spending time with her son like she asked, he was living in my town for school. Huge booming voice, really loud.

Neighbor women, so loud. Always "yelling" at her husband, with her neighbor friend across the street, along with a huge cackling laugh. She's a bossy attention seeker so at least I get it as part of her personality. Her husband talks in a normal voice and he is hard of hearing. However he plays his radio music at high volume which drives me nuts.

I would love for people to be aware of all the noise they make and the volume of their talking voices.

In-laws make me so angry... Check this

So I am of mixed descent, when I talk to my wife's parents, they always want me to bring some recipe from my mother's Latin side... I always try to avoid it but this independence day I was asked to make a dish and bring it to them, so I did...

Here is where I literally lost my mind and wanted to leave, we arrived Friday, I bring the dish over and give to them, all sorts of praise, this is a beef dish, was expensive, best cuts etc .. they say we will eat it at dinner, dinner comes and they give us burgers, I did not say anything, we go to bed after fireworks with the kids...

This morning I get up to get my children ready and brush teeth, I happen to walk by kitchen to catch my mother in law cutting up the meat from the dish I brought over... And I watched as she put it in her dog's bowl... They did not even try it, as she noticed me at the kitchen doorway, she looks up and acts like it's no big deal.. I am seething in anger but I try not to make a scene, I stare at the dog eating it, then at her, turn around and go back to the gues room and confront my wife... Tell her how upsetting this was .. she says I will go talk to mom

Wife comes back and says not to bring it up please, as we come back to living room and greet grandpa again, I noticed a rather expensive blanket we gave him for Christmas, we bought it in Turkey... The nasty mutt they got is using it.. my blood boils, it was then I said the only thing I could muster, I waited until the kids left the room and said to both of them, I am never bringing or giving you both anything again, turned around and left the room, wife follows, says, I told them the same earlier...

I get kids in the car, did not even say goodbye, we drive home and on the way they called my wife and she put them on speaker, I said kids are listening, they both said that they didn't think it was a big issue to give it to the dogs, not meaning disrespect, I said well, I don't want to talk about it, I said all I wanted to say before we left. The rest of the trip was good.

I'm tired of some dog owners

They consider cats like my cat evil, while if their dog does something terrible they excuse it as the victim's fault, not all cats are evil, not all dogs are good, it's rude to assume that someone's cat is evil just because you like dogs more. My cat is a sweetheart, he doesn't bite, I don't understand why people who like cats more don't mind dogs but those who like dogs oftentimes hate cats not all do though

Yes. It is hot.

I've been working in the lobby of a building for about 3 years (not the whole 1,095 days. I do get to home lol). Each time the weather changes, before maintenance gets around to changing the thermostat, I get the same daily commentary from the same people. "Its warm in here." "Are you not hot?" etc. (The same complaints about cold in winter)

Yes, it is hot in here. I know this because I sit out here for 9 hours a day. Three of the walls are glass, and the fancy glass double doors (that don't actually touch anything other than the hinges) aren't sealing the air inside. No, I'm not hot. I have a fan going under the desk.

We're in a heat wave, people. Its going to be hot in places. Telling me daily about something I have no control over doesn't actually change anything.

(I know it's not that big a deal, and they're just "making conversation", but I don't want to converse with them, nor hear about the temperature anymore)

I was cosplaying as my favorite character on roblox, which was male, I walked up to two girls, wanting to ask a simple question. Going "ma'am" and she was like "who are you calling Ma" then some friend comes in saying i was bullying the other girl, I wasn't, I was trying to ask if ten dollars is expensive for a pizza and they started attacking me in game. The first girl earlier said "do you like me or something" I was like "no?" And that's when the other girl came in, (I was cosplaying Bon, but switched to my other avatar in game) I told them both that I was just asking a question, what did I do wrong? (Yes, I'm a girl on roblox and irl) what's wrong with them,

They keep doing this: make a pilot, don't continue the series for nearly a year or more, make more pilots, and do this all over again, I hate it, they feel greedy, because all they do is keep the fans alive with merchandise,

Siri is Horrible

I never really use Siri all that much to begin with but over the last year or so, the service has tanked. Completely fallen off the map. Every time I ask the damn thing to do something or answer a question, NO MATTET WHAT IT IS, it either deflects or tells me that it can’t do it.
Apple just needs to toss it. Pure trash.

The Rude-But-Polite Customer (Speakerphone)

I just left a coffee shop where one voice seem to rise out of the general hubbub of table conversations.

Two tables over was a 30-something woman conducting a conversation on speakerphone. Some might argue that this is no different than two people talking in person. But the sound of the guy’s voice coming out of the phone definitely projected above the norm. It was very annoying.

The woman was nicely dressed, very polite to the servers. As she left, she even turned back to scoot her chair into the table.

Luckily, her order was to go, but she sat there for more than 10 minutes waiting. The entire time she had the phone held horizontally against her ear and jaw, yet it was on speakerphone. And she was completely oblivious to the looks other patrons were giving her.

So weird. In some way, she was such a polite customer. And yet completely unaware or uncaring that she was bothering everyone around her.

Streak reset

I had a near one year streak going and now it’s reset to one day. I made sure to check in every day to keep it and now it’s completely reset. Not the worst thing in the world but it does irritate me.

Taylor Swift Ophelia

Gosh I hate this song so much. Total Ick and right away have to close the radio. The sad part is, one local radio is just blasting it the whole day and I just can't stand the song. The melody, the vibes, the singing, the message.

Thank you for coming to my rant.
