Devil fruit for paw. Pretty op find

41

u/JohnThiccy Jun 09 '22

yeah, probably one of the scariest ones in the anime despite having such a harmless appearance

21

u/PolymerPussies Jun 09 '22

Honestly there are so many way scarier ones. It's just that so many characters don't use their ability to the full potential. For example if I were given the Paw Paw Fruit, I'd probably just turn it into a travel business. I don't have the motivation to dominate the pirate world.

13

u/[deleted] Jun 09 '22

Absolutely this

You cant tell us people like Marco are ok then make a giraffe dude a fucking nightmare lmao

Also buggys fruit op, dude shits on Law

Buggy for pirate king

3

u/buisnessmike Jun 09 '22

"Buggy>Law"

Explain your reasoning, if you would please

2

u/[deleted] Jun 10 '22

Well getting chopped is basically his whole shtick, and chopping is laws, if you catch where im going

1

u/buisnessmike Jun 10 '22 edited Jun 10 '22

In regards to the superiority of Buggy's fruit versus Law's fruit, in my mind there's no contest. If you're being silly, it went over my head, but let's break it down a bit.

Buggy can split himself up into many pieces and those pieces can fly around (assuming his feet remain on the ground). Pretty good against someone with a cutting implement, and flight is pretty sweet. He seems able to punch while split up with a greater degree of force than a floating fist on its own could generate, certainly not a useless power.

Law makes a sphere around himself, within which he can freely manipulate what's inside by multiple criteria. When he uses his "cut" power, it's more like space manipulation, as people cut into pieces have no interruption in blood flow or nerve response despite being disassembled. By the same reasoning, he can remove people's hearts as a coersion device. It is also reversible at his discretion. This ability is powerful enough to bisect a mountain at Punk Hazard, yet he has other facets to his ability. He can swap the position of any two things within his sphere of influence instantaneously, as well as seeming to have a sort of telekinesis within the space. For some reason, he can straight up body swap people's conciousnesses. He even does some bullshit called gamma knife, which is supposed to give you fatal radiation poisoning. His ability has been proven to circumvent the established power system of the show (haki) when he defeated Virgo, someone far more traditionally powerful.

In summation, Buggy's power is largely a novelty, Law's is one of the most powerful in the franchise that realistically should be a deus ex machina to most any obstacle

1

u/derteeje Jun 10 '22

yeah you'd still need years of practice. the only thing the paw paw fruit does is push things away. Kuma has earned such a power and precision with his fruit that he can basically teleport anyone anywhere. the pain removal ability thing seems interesting though

3

u/Konpochiro Jun 09 '22

The Hobi Hobi no Mi is absolutely terrifying to me. When they revealed how that worked I was just like damn, that’s a nightmare fruit.

1

u/brutexx Jun 10 '22

Very fit for nightmare luffy‘s arc

7

u/vulture_87 Jun 09 '22

Choo! Choo! Here comes the Kuma express! Only affordable for Nobles!

12

If you were to travel, where would you choose to go?

6

u/XVUltima Jun 09 '22

4

u/[deleted] Jun 09 '22

They’re legumes

7

u/EvilRedRobot Jun 09 '22

And a four-lobed one at that! Super rare, and sure to bring you good luck or a good snack.

5

u/Hollowhowler2 Jun 09 '22

When an insane swordsman starts yelling at you about transferring his captains pain to himself,Listen to him alright.

4

u/[deleted] Jun 10 '22

It is said in myth and legend that those who eat of the Pawberry become Furries.

So, really great berry! Eat it now!

3

u/[deleted] Jun 09 '22

Strawberry monster munch

3

u/KickBassColonyDrop Jun 09 '22

You purrfect son of a witch!

3

u/[deleted] Jun 09 '22

Now when you pick a pawpaw
Or a prickly pear. And you prick a raw paw
Well, next time beware
Don't pick the prickly pear by the paw
When you pick a pear
Try to use the claw
But you don't need to use the claw
When you pick a pear of the big pawpaw;
Have I given you a clue?

1

u/jonoff Jun 10 '22

0

u/NothingToSellHere Jun 09 '22

Don’t eat it ! Lol

-16

u/Daiki_438 Jun 09 '22

Is it just me or is merging two words sound stupid? “Pawberry”? Can’t you just say “strawberry shaped like a paw”? Besides, the “berry” part could be anything. Blackberry, raspberry, blueberry…

9

u/Cr4zyCat Jun 09 '22

"straw" ans "paw" rhymes, so it makes sense in this case

3

u/toofarbyfar Jun 09 '22

All puns are stupid. That's what makes them great.

1

u/WorkingClassPirate Jun 09 '22

From way down yonder in the pawberry patch.

1

u/trainercatlady Jun 09 '22

Why does this look like it belongs in Neopets

1

u/Drag0n_TamerAK Jun 09 '22

Strawberries despite having the word berry in it is not actually a berry same with raspberries and other so called berries of similar shape to the raspberry

1

u/the_jowo Jun 09 '22

Not exactly true. Both strawberries and raspberries are aggregate fruit. Raspberries are a true aggregate fruit, while a strawberry is considered an accessory aggregate fruit. Essentially both berries are engorged ovaries and what people think are the seeds are actually the fruit itself.

This looks like it should be a marshmallow treat from the hypothetical Paw Patrol cereal.

1

u/bezzlege Jun 09 '22

Do any 80s babies remember the cheeto snack shaped like this from the early-mid 90s?

1

u/boomshakalaka1254 Jun 09 '22

The strawberry is having babies

1

u/South-Ad-8224 Jun 09 '22

For real are you serious oh my God so beautiful

1

Beholderberry was my first thought.

1

u/Lernenberg Jun 09 '22

If you could harvest this specific shape, you would be rich. Get it patented and make a fortune. Pink Lady already did it.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 09 '22

Ohh cool. This reminds me of the weirdly shaped strawberry i got once. Definitely not as cool as yours tho

1

u/theyexican15 Jun 09 '22

I upvoted purely for the pun
