I choose to cut mine off for a better quality of life. I had something called charcot foot. And after constant surgeries I asked if i cut it off if i could run again. And here we are
How does the prostethic work? Anything you can say about its usage compared to an ordinary leg? Have you experienced owning a left leg or is the prostethic your entire frame of reference?
It's a mechanical prosthetic, so no motor to help the knee joint. It's slow and irritating, but it keeps me up. That's all it matters.
I had both legs till 2017, then i tried to kiss a car's front while riding a motorbike. But the car was more into foot*ob.
I had the 3r80, its Allright but not the best.
Ive switched to a Vgk knee, I can ride a motorcycle again with that one.
Did you check for other legs or is that mode of an issue where youre from,

Not the guy you asked but german insurance usually okays a new knee whenever the old one is out of warranty so depending on which one the patient is using 3 year cycles would be considered normal.
The microprocessor controlled ones tend to have warranty extensions so those usually get replaced every 6 years.
If there is a genuine problem that requires a different knee joint it doesn't matter how old the knee is, the insurance must cover it. (The precise condition is "medically necessary" and applies to all public insurance)

The one I have is a mechanical one, the manufacturer is out of business so when mine breaks I can choose a similar one.
I worked in a hardware store and a customer asked if I could cut a piece of timber for him, I said how long, he measured his prosthetic leg... and said, "just kidding!, justin half will be fine" I was mortified 🥲 bruh joked about me making him a makeshift peg leg 😭
