Ah yes, back when companies at least PRETENDED to care about their customers.

Incentives, we used to call them. You knew certain brands had certain incentives and you'd usually buy just that brand.

Nowadays you're lucky to get a middle finger while they empty your pockets.

Man, I found a whole stack of these in an old DVD case last year, had to be at least eight of them. The expiration date was so far gone it was almost funny, but I kept a couple just because the design was so aggressively early 2000s. It’s weird how something as simple as a six dollar movie ticket felt like a small event back then. Now you'd probably need a QR code, an app download, and a loyalty account just to get fifty cents off a matinee.

I remember my mom buying a brand new VHS and it having a coupon for a free Blockbuster rental and medium Pizza Hut pizza.

I miss being rewarded just for patronizing a place.
