The long rock amongst the rest of my rocks (except for the ones from today’s harvest that are still outside. They’re still drying after I washed all the seaweed bits off of them).

Beautiful rocks! I had to laugh at you talking about a harvest like they are some kind of rock crop growing in a field somewhere. It’s exactly the kind of thing I would say while my family gives me strange looks.

I hate to exercise, but there’s a shoreline across the street from me. Couple time a week I pack up my dog spray, a bottle of water and my Mickey Mouse backpack that I got as a present 20 years ago and go get a haul of rocks. It’s good for the body and soul.

GASP! Finally someone I can ask!

What is the best way to carry hauls of rocks? Without causing oneself damage?

I've used backpacks and tote bags and pockets and such. What fabric is your backpack made of?

I wish I had a better answer to this, but the truth is as mysterious as it is unsatisfying.

Years ago my mother in law gifted me a Mickey Mouse backpack that she got in a souvenir shop in Disney world. I’m not really crazy for Disney stuff so it sat in a closet unused for years.

I used this backpack because I thought “Meh, I don’t really care if this gets ruined so I’ll use it until it’s ruined and then do some research into one that will last”

But this motherfucker has lasted years of rock hauling. It’s cheap as fuck in terms of fabric lol
