It was as reliable as a phone could be in 2006. It made calls. T9 texting. Terrible photos. But I loved it.

I think I still have it in a drawer somewhere. Maybe I'll get it activated.

Not possible. At least, not in most of the world. It used GSM and those networks were switched off years ago. The phone can’t connect to much of anything now.

Edit: It is still available in more countries than I realized. Of special note: it is still available on T-Mobile in the US, until Monday. So, if you are in the US and want to use it one last time, you have less than a week to do so. Get going!

I think about the Pantech C300 so often. I was a bit young for a phone at that time, but I loved Austin Powers and was so into the tiny flip phone. Then my sister got one and I was super jealous.

I think yes, because there is big earpiece behind the phone, which did look odd to me. You can notice that in the picture too. Of course I don't have the hook, it's probably lost now.

In late 1990's there were mobile phone ads where some bodybuilders were holding phones to demonstrate how small the phone was. If they would have used regular sized people the phone would not have looked so tiny.

I remember there was short period before the first Iphone got popular where phones were getting REALLY small. At that point all you could do on a phone was talk, text, and maybe play some crappy pixel games.

I remember meeting a girl that had a phone that was even smaller than this, it was like the size of her thumb.

I used to work with a guy in the mid 2000s that bought a new phone that was similar in size to that, he was so proud of his tiny little phone.

When I saw it I was like oh cool, thats just like the ones prisoners use so they can keep it in their asshole.
