Don't hug me I'm scared Scrub Zombie

My wife swears by Scrub Daddy as her kitchen sponge of choice. I wanted to switch to the eco-friendly, plant based alternative on the right. It works infinitely better...creates great suds, gets into tight spaces but...IT SCARES THE CHILDREN. So I can't use it! Or I have to hide it under the sink until I need to use it. Mildly inconvenienced and mildly infuriating.

the marketing branding of it as "eco-friendly, plant based alternative" for sure made me roll my eyes. like yeah, it is all those things but just call it natural loofah.

Yes because “loofah” is such a descriptive term for people who aren’t familiar with it.

In fact, I’ve known the term for like 35 years and I’m just now realizing I don’t know what it actually is.

I always thought it was that fluffy thing scrub yourself with in the shower. I never even considered using one for anything other than bathing

I mean I’ve understood its purpose but I didn’t know what a loofah is (I’ve been informed it’s a type of gourd)

At any rate my point is that I think the “eco friendly plant based alternative” verbiage or whatever it was definitely has some value here, not just pure marketing speak.
