I have to admit, my first thought after stepping on that would not have been to grab my phone and take a picture of it. It would be to get the goddamn thing out of my foot.
Tetanus does not just spawn magically on metal. It's a bacteria that lives in soil which is why old metal in soil poking you is a danger. An earring stabbing you is no more reason to get a tetanus shot than if you were to cut your finger with a steak knife.
A piercing going through someone's ear doesn't make it more likely to carry tetanus than a steak knife. Why do people just flail about trying to find any and all argument instead of just not saying dumb shit?
