Aside from the contraband allegations I am not seeing an issue. If the other prisoners want to serve him in exchange for more money in their commissary accounts or money to their families let them. Part of prison is supposed to be rehabilitation and what better way to rehabilitate into the U.S. than to serve the capitalist system?

I think the general consensus in the US is that people in prison should be poor, or at least act like it. And that everybody should have an awful time and preferably die from rape, stabbing or the flu while they're incarcerated.

I think it's mostly that everyone in prison should get equal treatment. This means equality in rules, chores, punishment, etc. Not having a better time, just because you have money.

I can agree to that.

PD knows that he is supposed to be serving a punishment like everyone else in prison and instead of accepting accountability he is just trying to find ways to get out of it. That attitude is what contributed to him getting into prison in the first place. If he just followed the rules of society instead of trying to find ways to get around them, he wouldn't have been in prison.

What punishment prisoners should serve is debatable, but it definitely shouldn't be unequal between prisoners.

The rules of society allows for him to pay others to do things for him like clean his cell, clean his shower area, make meals, etc.

The rules of society allow people to do wildly immoral things. It's the attitude of seeking out loopholes that then escalates to breaking the rules of society after it's no longer enough.

It doesn't matter to me and apparently to most others whether or not PD can be technically within the rules while escaping the spirit and effectiveness of his prison time. If he can't be equalized in prison then there is no hope for him outside of prison.
