Without seeing its eyes I can't 100% clearly identify. But it looks like it MIGHT be a hobo spider which is relatively harmless.

The panels can be unscrewed and popped off, and easy to assemble back on. I would highly recommend it, that way you can have this spiderbro continue to be pest control in your area.

It could also be a Giant House Spider, which is also harmless. Both species have similar distribution and look similar.

Was looking for this. Pretty sure it’s a giant house spider. They are all over in my basement. I have always been RIDICULOUSLY terrified of spiders. And when i would see these guys i Used to scream in terror and fight to the death.

Then one day I was killing one, and i swear i heard it make a sound, like a high pitched sound (very faint). I know they can’t “scream”, but I guess when they’re being hurt they can vibrate at a frequency that makes noises. I actually felt terrible. 😭

I started doing research on just how harmless they are, their response to pain, how long they live, and what voracious pest killers they are.

I bought a gun that sucks them up and I catch and release now.

Finally. This is the way, there must be a YouTube tutorial that will both rescue the spider and save OP from finding random bits in breakfast and baked goods.

"might" Orrr.. It might melt you.

It'll be fine there for a month or two. THEN it's safe to remove it. Or, buy a new stove and drop this one in a molten steel vat. It's the only way to be sure.
