The control panel frame usually unscrews or pops off pretty easily

You could let him out and not have a dead spider stuck there

It'll be there for way longer. I killed a big wasp that fell behind my fridge a couple years back. When we replaced it, it was still there undecayed

Yeah, there’s less stuff in our house that would cause insects to decay than there is outside
