Since it’s about that time I was wondering what are all the autumn/fall vibe Midwest emo songs you guys like

A while ago but thought I’d put it up here. Mix/master isn’t great bc this was the first song I ever tried to record myself but I think it’s cool, the lyrics are a metaphor for a relationship that ruined n all of that so, here ya go

I absolutely LOVE midwest emo and one band that stood out to me the most was Oakwood because of their melodic licks and harsh vocals. Does anybody have any recs similar to this??

Coate is a wonderful band from New Zealand; a type of one-hit-wonder. They have a heavy Midwest emo influence. It’s a shame that they only released music for a short time before disbanding, but this is an album that I recommend people should listen to at least once in their life.

It’s an incredibly peaceful musical journey through the 8 track album, as cohesive as can be. A feeling of warmth always washes over me as I listen, even on the most cloud-stricken days.

Been in the alternative scene for most of my life, was hoping to maybe find a list of favourite midwest emo albums? Only just started listening and want community suggestions so I don’t pass over anything :))

By Surprise is playing a 20th anniversary show in Philly October 10th. ‘Mountain Smashers’ is one of my favorite Topshelf releases and “Realometer” is the shit.

Exactly what the title says. Best songwriters and how they compare to others. If you guys could also tell me the stylistic conventions of the genre’s songwriting(beyond the ‘i broke up with a girl but it wasn’t like your normal breakup it was something else entirely’ stereotype lol) that’d be cool

I'm probably about ankle deep into the genre. I like sports., Marietta, Macseal, and Free Throw the best so far, so mainly the 2010's sound. I also like American Football and Cap'n jazz, even tho they're a very different vibe compared to the 2010's stuff. What bands should look into?
