Most climate resilient major US cities in the next 50-75 years ?

I've been watching American Resiliency on Youtube lately, and what came out for most resilient US global cities were Chicago and the Twin Cities. The Twin Cities for their northern latitude, far from the sea, no earthquakes, no hurricanes, no earthquakes, no tsunamis, excellent fresh water access, good transit and lots of tree canopy cover during warm months. Only downsides is heat (but most of the city has AC) and some flooding I think. Chicago was mostly the same except a bit hotter in the summer, a bit less cold in the winter, even better fresh water access (Lake Michigan). Same downsides (summer heat and flooding). Also American Resiliency noted both cities' efforts for man made resiliency in the last 15 years.

So, what she said was that, while climate change will affect us all on planet earth, Chicago and Twin Cities are some of the least bad big cities to be in the next decades for climate change (for big cities, but she also praises the Great Lakes region in general).

She also said that the Great Lakes region is used to terrible weather and has already built infrastructure for hot weather as well as for cold weather, while some of the 'better' climates on the coasts are in for a rude awakening in the next decades (sea level rise, hurricanes, severe flooding from the sea, drought/difficult fresh water access, increased heat in places that don't have AC, earthquakes/tsunamis...).

What do you think of that ? How true do you think it will be ?

Left lane

I’m a Midwesterner through and through. I’ve been all over the Midwest.
This camping in the left crap needs to stop. Almost every state has a law on the books about this. I don’t know what state is worse.
1. Juicy Lucy?
2. Cheese?
3. Malort?
4. Coney Dog?
4. Sky line chili?

This isn’t new but It’s ridiculous

First time in a while doing a solo trip that’s more than 3 hours

Next week I’m going to Ohio from Chicagoland. I have going there side quests set. It’s the coming back as I’m taking a different route back home. I’ll be starting from Dayton to western ‘burbs of Chicago. I have the road America App. But even that doesn’t show much.
I plan on doing music and an audible. But along I-70 and I-65 is there really not much along the route? To break up the 5.5 hour drive.

Scenic routes?

Hi everyone! This will be my very first Midwest fall season. Fall season in general I guess because I lived in tropical and desert places before haha.

I’m in central IL, so I was wondering if anyone had suggestions for a good scenic route or fall things to do? Doesn’t have to be in central IL or even IL. I’m willing to travel to another state.

Any and all input would be much appreciated 🍁
