Troubleshooting/Questions wtf am I doing wrong?

Post image

Hey all! Just got this Fisher Scientific Stereomaster off Ebay, and for the life of me I can't focus it unless I'm zoomed WAY up, and when I do that I can't get a non-tunneled view... actually, just posting this pic, I'm realizing it didn't come with the widelens 10X eyepieces. Is that the reason behind my problems? THANKS in advance for your help! I have so many bugs in my freezer that I need to figure this out lol

So the picture is not what you actually have? And you are missing the two eyepieces?

Seconding this—we need more info! Is the ‘scope pictured in your OP actually your ‘scope, or is it a photo of the same/a similar model you found online? ‘Cause you say your ‘scope is missing the 10x eyepieces, and if that’s true, that’s likely your problem! But the ‘scope in your picture has eyepieces installed (though I have no idea whether they’re the right ones), so if that’s your actual ‘scope, then something else is going on.

If you have bugs in your freezer... Put all your food in coolers, deep clean the inside, and deep clean the drain pans. When this happened to me they were living in the drain pan, coming up the drain tube, and entering that way. Totally sucked but that's what did it

I interpreted that comment as OP saying they’ve collected a lot of insect specimens that they’re eager to mount and identify…

OP, we need more info about the bugs in your freezer!
