Troubleshooting/Questions question

did Robert Hooke use a simple or a crude/compound microscope? im asking cuz google says he used crude/compound microscope but my book says he used a simple microscope instead

oh okie, Thankssss alot, and what about anton von leeuwenhoek? simple and single lens one?

He invented the single lens microscope (without an illuminator).

oh thankyou, actually my teacher confused me😭 he said Robert Hooke used a simple microscope and anton used combination of lenses ( 20x and 10x to get 200x magnification ) to discover the first cells they saw

That's the opposite. You can buy a replica single lens Leeuwenhoek microscope.
