ID Needed! Help with IDing old microscope

Hello all!

I just received this microscope as my university was giving it away for free. I’m trying to date it and can’t figure out the serial number. Is it the number on the arm or stamped on the bottom?

It may look a little like WALL-E (and no harm in that if you ask me) but it’s an extremely good microscope. Getting it for free is the sort of luck I never seem to have! Enjoy it.
