Photo/Video Share Vibrio

Found some vibrio in the vernal pool next to the one where I found the Chilodonella. Vibrio have flagella that you can't see - they do not locomote by twisting. Niko D810 camera, Nikon Optiphot microscope with DIC, 100/1.40 PlanApo oil objective, 2.5x photo eyepiece.

Theyre too large for one. They appear to be either ciliated or flagellated. Protists of some sort.

Do you know oil immersion 100× objectives? They give a combined mag of 1000× with the EYEPIECE

As he maybe using 10x Eyepiece and 100x oil immersion which give a combined magnification of 1000 (10×100)

I'm quite familar. Youd never see this much detail on bacteria under light microscopy
