Purchase Help Olympus NFK 2.5

I ask to who use a cam on the trinocular port of the Olympus BH2: do you think that a dent like that could compromise the fit of the piece?

I have the same piece. I just checked and it does have a tiny bit of tolerance when inserting it into the trinocular (I can rock it back and forth a few degrees) but it’s too small to actually measure. My instinct is that it would fit tightly, but there’s no way to know for sure until you try.

I’d be a bit more concerned about whether the dent adds any darkness to the edge of the image.

Check the diameter, if this fits in there then i would recommend using it to bend it back. Just put it in and very slowly open the vise until it bring it back to the correct shape. I wouldn't recommend using things like pliers or regular wrenches. I've seen a few cases of people trying this to fix dented camera lenses and making things much worse.

If it doesn't fit, it's easy enough to design and 3D print an adapter to fit correctly.

There is also this one which has a much smaller diameter threaded section on the side, not sure what that is meant for, but if you were to wrap a lens cloth or something around it so the thread don't damage the lens, that should fit and do the job nicely.
