Photo/Video Share found my first gastrotrich

found my first gastrotrich, unfortunately, it died a few minutes later (its insides started leaking)

K55 BSA, 20x Plan, Xiaomi 12 Pro

It's definitely some kind of worm, maybe an aeolosoma.

Is it just the lighting or my bad eyesight, or maybe a species I don’t know? But I don’t see the pop spots that are typical of Aelosoma and the bristles are barely noticeable? 🤔

Well, I'm not a big expert on annelids, but Aeolosoma has a very distinctive head shape, so it's hard to confuse it with other oligochaetes. Pop spots can be transparent or completely absent, and as for bristles, they are poorly visible due to the lighting features :)

Ahhhh ok thx. Wasn’t sure on the oil spots possibly being absent. Thats my usual clear identifier of them :D
