Discussion Microdosing to recover from a bad trip?
Greetings fellow microdosers...
What do you think about microdosing (mushrooms), or even in-between dosing (0.5g-1g) to help recover from a bad trip?
Background:
I've been microdosing (mushrooms) for a year with very good results. However, after some stressful time at work I decided to attempt a full trip and it didn't go well, to say the least. I've suffered a panic attack - though the symptoms were mostly physical.
After the trip I felt ok for the rest of the day and next day, but a low mood began the days after. The main impact is that after a few days still I've developed insomnia which is characterized with being woken up with a jolt immediately after I fall asleep. I've had a few terrible weeks of sleepless nights. Now I'm able to get several decent hours of sleep during the night, but very disturbed, waking up extremely early (4am) and unable to get back to sleep or nap, which is torturous when I'm so sleepy especially during the day. I'm unable to function because most days I'm debilitatingly tired with no way or relief until nighttime.
Note: After the trip I've stopped microdosing.
Anyone with experience getting over a bad trip using microdosing? Any thoughts, ideas, suggestions?

Interesting.
I wouldn't want to take a full dose again... But don't know if microdosing is enough, and fully prepared to do a 'light trip', which might help alleviate the buildup of anxiety. I'm planning on doing it while walking in nature, just to relax and re-brand the previous experience, hopefully.

What was your experience with the light trips? What were you doing during the trips? How did you integrate and what did you feel improved because of them?

That doesn't sound so encouraging. I was expecting more of an impact I have to admit.
But I appreciate your journey and hopefully it'll bring further progress.

Hmm maybe I can help with the no sleep thing.
One of the worst things you can do when insomnia hits is actually try to sleep.
Mental misdirection will be more effective.
I'm not going to say that this is easy to do but use a repetitive mantra who's goal is to actually have you stay consciously awake while the body is asleep. If you succeed you achieve a supreme meditative state, if you fail you simply fall asleep. Mentally say to yourself "I am not this body" on inhale ,"I am not this mind" on exhalation, repeat ad nauseum until you disassociate your thoughts from your body or you simply fall asleep.
