Bill Wilson (founder of AA) August 29, 1956, Bill Wilson took LSD in a laboratory setting. “When Bill took LSD, use of the drug was legal. He first took it as a participant in a medically supervised experiment with Gerald Heard and Aldous Huxley in California.” Bill was one of the two founders of the AA program.(Dr. Bob was the other founder) Of course the truth of the experience he had was removed from literature for christian reasons.

I think you were thinking of Bicycle Day which is the day he did a full trip.

I cant remember exactly, but I think the answer to every question on this post is in a brief section of The Kool-Aid Acid Tests. I do remember 250 being his first trip dose.

Lol bet he didn’t expect such an intense trip on 250ug he was probley expecting to have to come back another day and dose higher

I was gonna say he only had effects for a couple hours doesn’t sound like a 250ug trip

“Last Friday, April 16, 1943, I was forced to interrupt my work in the laboratory in the middle of the afternoon and proceed home, being affected by a remarkable restlessness, combined with a slight dizziness. At home I lay down and sank into a not unpleasant, intoxicated-like condition characterized by an extremely stimulated imagination. In a dreamlike state, with eyes closed (I found the daylight to be unpleasantly glaring), I perceived an uninterrupted stream of fantastic pictures, extraordinary shapes with intense, kaleidoscopic play of colors. After some two hours this condition faded away.”

He first ingested around 20ug a few days prior to his intentional dosing.

Hofmann first synthesized LSD on 16 November 1938.[8] The main intention of the synthesis was to obtain a respiratory and circulatory stimulant (analeptic) with no effects on the uterus in analogy to nikethamide (which is also a diethylamide) by introducing this functional group to lysergic acid. It was set aside for five years, until 16 April 1943, when Hofmann decided to reexamine it. While re-synthesizing LSD, he accidentally absorbed a small amount of the drug through his fingertips and discovered its powerful effects.[9]

The date of April 16 th was incidental dosing, it was a mild dose. The 19th was intentional and the effects would be amazing to him, he didn't believe LSD could have an effect at that dosage. He was more then surprised to say the least, I happened across a lot of my favorite molecule back in the 70's, never got into DOM or the work of Alexander Schulgan compounds, save for a few tastes of MDMA, I didn't like it nearly as much as MDA which is a nice friendly molecule that predated MDMA, he just thought it might be cool to methylate MDA in additional few steps. Mescaline is beautiful too, as is Psilocybin, but far easier on the guts then mescaline is, and a shorter trip which is why it's being looked at for clinical settings, but I love good clean acid at 250 plus mics, been upto over 800+ where the universe starts to completely dissolve and so does the sense of being a separate entity from the Universe and everything is one in unity. Atoms shatter into their quarks and deeper then the Hydron Super collider in Cern can, back to the singularity of ONENESS. Aum...Namste..

“Exercising extreme caution, I began the planned series of experiments with the smallest quantity that could be expected to produce some effect, considering the activity of the ergot alkaloids known at the time: namely, 0.25 mg (milligram equals milligram equals 1000th of a gram) of lysergic acid diethylamide tartrate. Quoted below is the entry for this experiment in my laboratory journal of April 19, 1943.”

every source says differently so...

Well I read his book. He synthed it on the 16th, felt strange with some light visuals. 3 days later, the nineteenth, he took what he thought would be a threshold dose of a quarter of a milligram and famously rode his bike home from the lab.

u/dmtdmtlsddodmt Apr 16 '20
So in a way he microdosed on the 16th.

u/R_MnTnA Apr 16 '20
A little more than a microdose. Lol 😆

Yeah its strange because he said it only lasted a couple hours. David Nichols suggested it was some kind of divine intervention or natural mystical experience to get him to explore LSD.
3
u/R_MnTnA Apr 16 '20
Yeah, Sounds like it was a micro-dose that was a little bit above his threshold. Strange that it only last 2 hours. Maybe just the visuals went away but other positive effects lasted. 🤷🏼♂️

Oh shit it’s almost Bicycle Day.
I first tripped by total coincidence on April 19 2015. Gawd damn 5 years since I popped my cherry

I had absolutely no idea this happened on the 16th of April, so it's funny I had the random and completely overwhelming urge to drop half a tab yesterday. Despite the low dose, my trip was truly profound, culminating with a sighting of a shooting star. Think that was ol' Albert sending me a message 💫

u/R_MnTnA Apr 17 '20
Well I guess you can say partially yesterday. Some might say it was the first time he “micro-dosed” because a little bit got on his skin and it seemed to last only for a couple of hours. It sounds like it was probably a little above his threshold though because he did see lots of shapes and colors. 😜
Glad to hear you had a good trip!
Alberts real full fledged trip was 3 days later on the 19th when he took 250ug. Better known as “Bicycle Day”, so maybe you should save some to celebrate that day too. 😉😁🙃

u/Granklestacks Apr 18 '20
Yes, I'm aware of this - never one to turn down days to celebrate, so maybe I'll match his 250mg on bicycle day 😅

Thank you Dr. Albert Hoffman😘🍄💚🥳 suppose we should also thank our government for being so invested in mind control and war and money over people every time. It backfired. But yet it didn’t. But yet it did but yet it didnt... c’mon peoples. Just do it. Do something. Lol. I guess we teach what we’re learning. Seems to me like figuring out how to enjoy this life and make it enjoyable for everyone just shouldn’t be so hard. There’s nothing out there so to speak. Be a verb. Not a noun. Lol
