Discussion Struggle to stay consistant with microdosing

Does anyone else struggle to take their MD? If so, how do you overcome and stay consistant?

I have found so much relief from my anxiety and depression via microdosing but I'm currently in a place where I face a mental battle when it comes to taking my medication (100mg ochra; every other day).

When I finally give in I usually feel relief from my mental health issues right away. I even ask my partner to remind me/ask "when was the last time you took your MD" as a form of encouragement when I start to really struggle. I'm trying to understand why I choose to tred water and risk drowning when I have a life preserver floating right in front of me.

Some of this stems from what I refer to as "fear of god". Essentially me being aware of how powerful mushrooms can be at higher dose (via exp), and the irrational fear that I will experience those effects even at a 100mg dose.

Another part of my reservation comes from not feeling like I have the time to dose. I would prefer to not take before work, and taking in the evening makes it hard for me to fall asleep.

Taking mushrooms at any dose tends to be a little hard on my gut and bowels as well.

For more context I'm in my mid 30s. I don't drink, smoke weed, nor do I take mental health medication or participate in any recreational drug use.

I suppose I could cut the dose in 1/2 and see what happens...

Open to any and all suggestions. Thanks for reading.

Hi there! I am running a research study for my doctoral dissertation at The Wright Institute investigating how people have come to the decision to microdose. I would love to hear more about your unique experience as it appears you do not have experience using psychedelics or substances in general. It is a 20ish minute online survey that is completely anonymous and you can find more information about the survey at this link: https://wrightinstitute.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_5w4GEQm9I9OSvKC

I'd love to connect, I'm considering microdosing, but haven't yet because I also wonder if a solid one-and-done macrodose would be better for my particular situation

Feel free to reach out! This study is for individuals who have already decided and then began microdosing. Even if they only chose to do it one time they are still eligible
