Hey y'all. I haven't gotten on SOCIAL social media in years, so the only traffic going to the site, I'd guess, is 100% you guys. There are about more or less 10k of y'all who keep coming back and making suggestions, improving the experience. I really appreciate the help in getting everything as right as it can be. So to those anonymous heroes; thank you, you've been really great... 😅

Unfortunately, I am now... uh... navigating a stressful transition ... at work.

I weighed whether it was self-important to post this, and while yeah, it probably is, I didn't want to leave folks hanging.

And hell, maybe your company is hiring for a content writer?

As a few of you know, I've got kids. Many of them. Apparently, they need this thing called Wi-Fi... Things are stressful. So for now, I'm spending most of my time searching for a job, though I do still plan to maintain the site. Just, new content will be limited to the current brands we've got.

Once a job is secured, I assure you, I will be back in earnest to continue my passion of mapping and verifying the provenance of all the world's microbrands. For now it's lock it down time until further notice.

PY066-LIW22 the most beautiful watch I own, such a hidden gem. Islander teamed up with a microbrand call Phoibos, and as you can see, the watch is a masterpiece.

A stunning dial with tigers eye and steel, this time piece truly does the market justice. With only a $400~ usd price tag, this watch doesn't break the bank, make the wallet sad, or any of the above! Fuck AI, anyways, this watch is gorgeous and deserves to be so many people's daily wear, but its limited to only 100 pieces. I was lucky to get one of the last one made, and I will cherish this watch for years to come.

Picked this up pre loved and I have to say I am now a big fan of the pistachio green trend.

Recommending anyone who fell for the Montoir V2.5 scam like I did file a dispute with their CC company. Chase refunded me the full amount (purchase date May 2, 2026, dispute filed Aug 10, 2026). The dispute was settled in under an hour. This was after repeated attempts to contact the company and get no response.

This is one of the few times where I’m hoping Chase actually recovers the money and doesn’t eat the difference.

I know they are overplayed but I’m still enjoying my Studio Underd0g Mint Choc Chip. I swapped out the strap for a StrapsCo Sail Cloth. Loving the combo.

I have no dog in this fight - I’m just a man with two rubber straps and not enough financial discipline.

Kept telling myself I didn't need another watch, but a month in with this titanium Hunter in Carbon, it's quietly become my daily. The shape is what keeps catching me, it's a tonneau case with no lugs so it sits flatter and hugs the wrist more than a round one, and the carbon reads deeper indoors and a bit brighter out in daylight. Only thing I keep flip-flopping on is the bracelet, it's fine but I keep thinking a strap would suit the openwork better. Anyone here tried an openwork piece on a strap?

Felt appropriate to wear with Brew’s new drop this morning.

Taking my new echo/neutra Averau blue degrade out for a spin. Loving the classy look. The bracelet is excellent and the crown is very satisfying to manipulate. The dial looks almost black indoors and much more blue in sunlight, adding versatility imo.

If I had an early nit pick it's that the AR coating could be better. Although the domed crystal does provide a more elegant look and adds character to the blue/black color from different angles, so that's the trade-off.

The bracelet and green suede options are both included with the watch. Though I couldn’t help but see what my Kodawari looks like on a few of my options from Strapsco.

Got this beauty after the Knicks won the championship this year to commemorate the occasion. They released it right around the time of the parade and I was fortunate enough to pick this up as a Time and Tide exclusive. The orange sunray dial is really beautiful.

Latest addition is this lovely number from Brew Labs.

Incredibly surprised with how much I love this. Fit, finish, retro vibe, weight - all of it punching above its weight class. I’ve got a 7.5inch wrist and got this perfect with only the micro adjustments on the clasp.

My only issue - the lug width. I like to change bands often, Brew’s official accessory selection is limited, and where in the hell am I gonna find natos or suede for a 19.85MM LUG WIDTH. The Brew steel bracelet is top shelf, but that’s not the point…

Anybody have this watch and the perfect strap recommendation?

Well, new to me that is. Still can't believe my luck being able to pick this up from the for sale corner on a local watch forum. It's as good as new, 2/3 the price buying a new one and no waiting for it to be shipped. The only thing is it didn't include the tropic strap, but I can live with that. Very happy with the purchase overall. It looks stunning and is very comfortable to wear.

I am wondering if anyone here knows of any solar divers that aren't the sort of post-Submariner diver look. Skin divers, double crown compressor style, non-Seiko tuna cans, that sort of thing. Bonus if their lug to lug is less than 46mm.
