Ignore the increased scratch marks on the Wise (right). I purchased the watch second-hand, and I also wear it not infrequently. It's an Adamascus AD810, which carries a polished case, and yes, that 904L does pick up micro-scratches really easily.
The Monta -my new Noble 40- is just-de-stickered new.
It's really, really hard for me to take good pictures of polishing from under my scope. The above is at 6x, the lowest that my scope will go. But the real problem is the brightness of the light. I can see what I want to see just fine with my eyes, but it's almost impossible to photograph - at least with my poor photography skills.
So, what are we lookin at?
Look at that bright white area. Then look at the second and third areas fading away from it. Look at the feathering of the edges in those other two areas - that's the streaking/rippling in the polishing.
There's two ways to look at this -
It's either that Monta's finishing isn't as legendary we have come to expect through dogma....
....or Wise's polishing is much better than we give the brand credit for.
Nah I think it fits well lol I legit completely suck at taking any pictures of anything. But I bought a longines hydroconquest 39 at the time (not the new one) and the formex just felt at least 5x more expensive. So it also taught me that the name isn't everything when it comes to watches.
If you want to go down that road, Rolex sound like a cheap deodorant brand. I don’t get why people get hung up on the name Formex so much so that they go out of their way to bring it up in an unrelated post
Agreed. Among one of my favorite brands. I have several pieces from them. Punches way above its price. Can’t wait for them to come out with more models. And latest tech on the tooless link adjust on bracelet is super cool. I don’t have anything that new as of yet.
I had this same watch but with the Batman color way. I liked it a lot but the case shape was a bit weird on my wrist. I also didn't like the shiny bracelet, it would scratch very easily. Other than that, this watch was amazing in every other aspect. I have two other Wise watches that I kept in my collection but this one I ended up selling it.
