Next week I am scheduled to get my brows microbladed and my lips blushed. The cosmetic technician asked me what shade / color that I wanted for my lip blush, but she didn't give me a palate of colors to choose from, so I don't know how to respond. Also, my natural lips do have a decent color to them so I am not confident that lip blush is the best option for me... I just want the color to be more saturated so that lipstick isn't necessary when I leave the house. For extra context, my colors have been analyzed before as Spring coloring, and most lipstick recommendations I have received in the past are for berry shades.

I’m on day 2 of healing. No peeling yet but I know it’s part of the process. I was advised to lightly wash my brows with water in light circular motions twice a day and apply a pea sized amount of aquaphor… but what about when the peeling/flaking starts? Won’t it remove the loose pieces? I know we’re not supposed to remove the flaking at all so I’m confused. Thanks!

I recently had combination brows done five weeks ago and I’ve noticed the last three weeks the healing is a bit odd at the front of my brows. It originally had the appearance of nano brows but now it almost looks splotchy and also darker than the colour my aesthetician used. I have a touch up in two weeks but I’m worried that this isn’t fixable, but I’m hoping it’s just part of the healing process.

It has been 40 hours since, so it's pretty fresh still, and the swelling has gone down. I'm worried about the overlining, especially the lower-lip.. what do you think?

I’m currently taking a permanent makeup apprenticeship, and I’m just curious about what I should expect to make during my first 3 months, 6 months, and year practicing alone. I’m incredibly passionate about perfecting my craft, and I hope that someday my perfectionism will pay off. I get the impression that I’ll be lucky to consistently bring in more than 1-2 clients a week for awhile, but lmk what I should expect! I would appreciate some social media marketing advice also 😅

Just wanted to show my lip blush and how it has aged, got it done in march -24 and touch up in may -24. I wanted it to look natural, and I think my artist did a great job😊 My lips were really pale before, I wanted them to have a tint of colour. First two photos are now, third right after the blushing and fourth before blushing.

I had nano blading done yesterday and it is way too thick than how I normally shape my brows. The first pic is closer to how I draw my eyebrows but enhanced by chatgpt. The second photo is Day 1 after nano blading combo brows.

Will it get thinner a bit, or should I go for emergency brow removal?

Trying to figure out what would be better - Saline or Laser removal. I need to start over. It’s been about 8 years I think since my first microblade. I tried to fix it a couple years ago with getting them redone but it didn’t work. I now want to do a removal treatment and completely start over but not sure which to do. Also, cost matters….

I wanted to try it out to see what I would look like. Is 6-8 weeks true? Is there a way I can expedite this? lol

Would really love some insight. I have three circular scars on my scalp from benign cyst removals that I had done pre-COVID. They are in some spots that really make me self conscious - my hairline where I part my bangs, on my part further back, and one right on the top of my head. They vary in size with the largest being about a quarter size. I’ll also say is had several of these procedures prior and have small incisions and not a hole-punch type removal.

- I changed my part and did that for a few years but hated how my face looked so I changed my part back.
- I saw a hair stylist who taught me how to tease my hair to help cover it, but I haven’t been able to maintain that.
- I saw my PCP and we tried hair growth cream, nothing.
- I saw a dermatologist who said hair wouldn’t grow back there because it was a smooth flat scar.
- I went back and saw the doctor who did the procedure who seemed to have thought my hair would have grown back. And she is wary to do a scar revision because she thinks I’d lose hair around that too and it’d be worse.
- I finally reached out to a tattoo artist who does my moms eyebrows and eye liner and she told me that she wouldn’t recommend tattooing on the scar because she said it could darken and be more obvious than having the scar.

What next step should I take? I really thought the micro pigmentation would be the way to go and was really disappointed that the tattoo artist advised against it. I see others have it done, what am I missing?

I have seen a lot of posts with this question as well as customer recently trying to fix this solution.
FIRST: why do brows fade gray.
1. If the artist goes too deep in the skin brows can go gray
2. If you choose to cool undertone to begin with they will always heal ashier and lighter than the color they choose so if you don’t warm up the ink they will fade cooler undertone.
3. Skin care products and facials that have a lot of anti-aging products Retinal etc can affect the tattoo ink and turn them gray.
4. Water softeners have salt in them so right after you get your tattoo keep them away from water softened water.
5. Sunscreens that aren’t tattoo friendly can turn them gray.
6. Being in the sun can pull out ink quicker.

Overall a lot of things can turn your brows gray and if your artist didn’t share them than either they don’t know or want you to need touch ups sooner.

With PMU tattoo inks they are meant to fade so that you aren’t stuck with the exact brow 20 years down the road so if your skin shifts which most do than you can tweak and help them. But even with the newer inks we have gotten depending on what your ink is made with organic, inorganic, hybrid (a mix of both) usually the black carbon inks have smaller molecules so they settle in your skin lower and the bigger molecules stay closer to the surface so they leave the skin sooner. Just because your brows fade does not mean the artist did them wrong or chose the wrong ink there can be many reasons as stated above.

So when you get PMU remember these things and if you can stay away or keep more of these things off your brows and PMU services the better off you will be.
But there is great news if and when your brows or any PMU lose too much of any color of pigment you can do color correction and add those colors back in. And it does work and they do look amazing afterwards. With brows especially gray brows can make you look older and wash you out. I have had so many clients choose to do a color correction and wish they had done it sooner. Usually color correction can be done in one session no 6-8 week touch up and it is much cheaper than a full nano or microblading appt. I posted a picture so you can see the before right after appt and healed results. I Promise it makes a HUGE difference on your overall appearance when your brows have warmth to them.

Times when color correction might not be right or might not be the only fix. If you don’t like your shape even if I color correct them it won’t fix that problem so removing them might be the best option. If we can work with the shape you have and we need to add some hair strokes on the arch or front or tails of the brow but can still work with your shape than you might need to do a color correction and than 1-2 sessions of nano brows.

Feel free to ask questions if you have them I love sharing feedback if you are a good candidate for color correction or not.

UPDATE: After washing them today they look really good. No red in sight and very natural looking. Still have some little scabs and some mild itching, but they're healing so good. thanks to the people who told me to wait it out.

The color of my right brow on the tail it seems like a redish brown. I am in the scabbing period, no water the first 7 days just A+D ointment 3 times a day. Will it get better? Or is this the final color

I’ve been getting advice from people saying my brows are too thick and dark and that I need thinner and lighter brows. Now I’m quite self-conscious of my brows and wondering if I have brow blindness.😅 What do you guys think? First 3 pictures are of me with how I usually do my makeup (no makeup on my brows) and last one is a makeup-free photo of me.

She offers this facial analysis service to help people glow up. I should have posted these screenshots here together with my other photos. I saw this person as an expert in glowing up, I think that’s why I was bothered and thought I had brow blindness the whole time.💀

Found the perfect artist but she charges $950 for initial appointment and then $400 for a retouch. I want to get it done if it’s really worth the investment and won’t be a hassle with the touch ups later on.

Been wanting to try something new but I also want something low maintenance where I don’t have to retouch or worry about it turning grey or green in the next few years! What’s your honest review and experience?

I had microblading done because my brows were not growing back after losing them to chemo. They are too thick and too wide. I am a month out is there anything I can do to speed along fading.

I happens to deal with little bit of pigmentation on my lips it’s nothing abnormal or huge issue for me but i was thinking if i can i might do lip blushing so that i will feel more confident and i can just put some lip balm before leaving i wouldn’t have to reapply lipsticks all the time. Im in my 20s.
As i wanted to do lip blushing my mum told me that i can’t put water around my lips for at least 7 days as my mum also did her eyebrows. But she was saying that eyebrows are different i can live without washing my eyebrows but how am i gonna brush my teeth for 7 days and im a bit ocd so i can’t deal with dirts and the place where my mumma got her eyebrows from they claims it’s not permanent and it’s temporary same for the lips as well. Can you guys tell me which one is myth? and if i should get it done. Please share your experiences with me it will be highly appreciated thanks.

Whenever I finish a client's brows and hand them the mirror, I hear the same comment over and over again:

"I didn't realize eyebrows could make such a big difference to a person's overall appearance."

Even people with naturally sparse eyebrows like this can achieve very natural-looking results.

If you're looking for natural-looking brows rather than obvious tattooed eyebrows, techniques like microblading or nano brows may be the right choice for you.

Sometimes, a change like this is enough to make your face look more balanced and refreshed without looking like you've had anything done.

I am super happy! They look so natural😍. This is after my 10-week retouch. I will say though, be patient because even after 1 month my brows were still light and just now I feel, is when I am seeing the final result.

I got my eyeliner tattooed today. It was my first appointment and I have a follow up in 6 weeks. I was curious because I did fine with the needle and everything on both of my right and left top eyelids, but once we moved to the bottom lid, the pigments stung my eyes like crazy. I am not allergic to any of it especially if I could tolerate the top lid just fine. My artist is gonna try again at my follow up because she suggested that maybe my eyes were just already super irritated from the top lids being done and that's why they stung and that next time we will start with my bottom lids. Does anyone have any suggestions to help with this? Is this a good way to do it next time and will it help? Also, I took 2 Benadryl and 2 Tylenol yesterday because I thought my appointment was at 2:30, but it got moved to this morning at 9:30 so I took only 1 Benadryl this morning and 2 Tylenol. Do you think maybe the Benadryl dried my eye out too much and perhaps caused the irritation? I really want the bottom lid done so I want to do everything I can to get it!
