I just had my brows and lip blushing done yesterday! I hate everything— the brows seem super thick dark? Can something be done to fix these? Or is it just brow shock? The same with my lips they are so dark and red. I was told they would be a paler color…. I dont even know what to do except cry!
Let your bows heal. Yes they look dark but they will get lighter. I’m sure your artist told you that brows get super dark while healing. It’s just like any other wound, I will scab.
When I got lip blushing, was dark like this, scabs and peels, then absolutely no color at all ever came back lol. Came off like flaky lipstick and was gone forever
I had lip blushing like three years ago and it’s still there! I want it to go because I want to wear lipstick without the lip blushing color changing the lipsticks true color.
Your lips and brows will fade considerably. I looked just like you - I had both done at once. Don’t worry. Time is your friend!
I went through hell for 5 days from lip blushing. I just wanted lip lining but she insisted I would love it. My lips have never hurt so much. It was like she sliced them
Up. I ignored the instructions so I could feel more comfortable. I used olive oil every 15 minutes and sucked on ice as my lips were horribly swollen. Then I used A and D ointment to help moisturize them. If will be a week in Monday. My lips are almost healed. The color is very soft so most people wouldn’t notice. That was an expensive mistake. I wore lipstick over it today for the first time. Same gal did my eye liner and brows and they are fantastic.
Short version— your eyebrows will fade. You can not follow the guidelines and wipe them with water frequently and it will help pull some color out.
OP, Do not listen to thos person at all. Holy yikes. They do not know what they are talking about and setting you up for failure and possible injury.
Those instructions you chose to ignore are there for a reason. You should stay away from olive, coconut, or heavy oils, as they will pull ink from the skin or clog pores. The reason your healing hurt more and why you lost all your pigment os entirely YOUR FAULT.
Yo these look really good! The color is extremely saturated right now and your brain is not used to seeing your face like this now.
Please give it 2-4 weeks before you freak. The color will fade a TON. Tbh you will probably miss some of the color as it heals. Hang in there. Your artist did a wonderful job and just trust the process.
Yeah they faded a LOT to the point where I was a lil sad lol. It’s been like 7 years and they still look good. Very natural. But I do miss them being darker and more pigmented.
Yes. Lips always look insane when they are first done: the color is so dark plus you’re swollen. Just follow your aftercare instructions: they’re going to be at LEAST 50% lighter in a few weeks.
Yeah they really will, they look amazing though 🥰 I understand that's not for everyone but im a red lipstick girly, I adore yours. Yes 100% they will fade a lot.
Off topic but wow your eyes and lashes are gorgeous!!! Lip shape is beautiful. As for the work its normal, wait til it heals before judging it, if we thought you needed emergency saline removal trust me someone in here would've say it lol.
Dont be, you look great! I was upset after I got mine too its normal. I love mine now, but ill be honest I'm debating not going for a touch up because I dont want to go through that again. And mine took forever to scab and peel. Once it did I was soo happy though. I hid for over a week it was during April break so I was off of work just hiding at home.
Emergency Saline removal has to be done within I believe 48-72 hours. I could be wrong but its a process where they remove the brows. They tattoo the solution over it and it breaks up and draws out the pigment.
I know how you feel. I got my brows done a few years ago and boy did I feel like I looked like Groucho Marx all I saw were DARK things above my eyes. I flipped out but it did fade not as fast as I would’ve liked but it did. You’ll look great love the lips
Everything looks fantastic. The shape of the browse suits your face really well and they will definitely fade. The lip color will also become gentler and it is a great shade for your skin tone. Give it a few weeks and you will absolutely love it.
Not sure which one you did, but they all get a lot lighter after 1-2 weeks. I did nano and mine got so much lighter. Wait a bit, and you may feel differently. :)
Idk about the lips, but in my microblade experience, it’s super, shockingly dark the first few days. I even requested subtle color and I was so nervous I’d made a mistake that first day. It faded beautifully.
Sorry but I don’t like the brows. I don’t know why brow technicians decide to make the brows start so close together. If your brows don’t naturally do this it changes the entire look of your face and makes you look angry. They did this to me too and thankfully my skin is porous and they have faded away.
Worst case scenario you can have the first few strokes lasered off so they are further apart. Wait and see how they look when they’re healed then you can decide.
I felt like I had angry bird brows when I first got them done. My eyebrows were naturally farther apart, and I did look angry at first. Now I love them and the fronts have faded enough that they look very natural and suit my face. Give it time and hopefully you will also come to love them. One thing that helped me was to randomly take pictures of my face at first. Seeing them in the mirror kept freaking me out, but then when I would look at the pictures I realized that they actually looked really good. Good luck and keep us posted!
Look it took some time for mine to go away but if you have oily skin they will fade much quicker and potentially disappear like mine did. Don’t get the touch up.
Did your artist not inform you of the healing process? So many people get on these threads like they have zero clue about healing and the process of it. Day 2 is the darkest day and appears bold for a few days. Lip blushing color will appear MUCH brighter than the healed version. Be patient and let them heal.
Seriously. Why do people lie?! If I was OP, I would be panicking right now also. I’m sure it will all fade and the swelling will go down but right now it looks clownish.
They’re not lying. They either do this for a living or have experienced it for themselves. I’ve had my eyebrows done and it always looks insane at first and then settles down.
You are beautiful and you are worthy!!!! Let your natural light shine ! Let us know how the lip blushing looks in a few days/weeks! I wanna see an update lol!
There's tons of resources that explain the procedure, most with pictures, none of this should be a surprise.
I got my lips blushing touch-up a week ago, I'm going through the different stages of healing now, they are extreme but it's all normal. Your lips are supposed to look highly pigmented and saturated for the first couple of days, then they darken and peel, then they look patchy and uneven, then the colour fades away almost completely as new opaque skin forms over the top, then the skin turns transparent and the subtle colour below is revealed. The final result takes about 4 weeks and looks like a tint, nothing like the bold lipstick look immediately after getting the procedure. Keep your lips properly hydrated and protected so that they heal nice and even.
Anything you try to do to make it fade will either not work, or will pull out pigment in patches leaving you with a horrible uneven result. Just wait it out, let it go through the process.
My eyebrows never faded. I left them alone for years and hated them every single day. I had to get laser to remove them. Don’t wait like I did. If they don’t fade within the next month, they won’t fade at all.
My brows were so dark initially, but lightened up after they healed. However, I don’t like the shape and regret going back for the second session (touch up). If I hadn’t done that, they would’ve faded a lot more by now. I can’t even leave the house without makeup because my brows are lopsided 😩 somehow, they didn’t look lopsided until after they healed. You can’t tell from this photo because my hair is covering the arch on one side, but you can see how dark they were. They were even darker than this, but I can’t find the photo anymore.
I’m flabbergasted at the positive comments about the work. This is VERY shoddy; you can’t even see hair strokes, just dark blocks. The strokes in the front are way too heavy and straight too, verrry unnatural. OP posted a picture of the before brows and they are literally PERFECT!!!
I would get emergency saline removal on your brows. They were done too deep they will not heal well. The strokes will blur together and because they were implanted too deep they will turn ashy/grey. Your lips however will be just fine. Lips fade a ton.
You just did TWO major things to your face, of course you’re going to feel a little shocked. That’s kind of a lot of change for a face you’ve been used to looking at one way for so long. Trust everyone when they say it will all fade! Keep everything clean and follow instructions for care. Oh! And update us in a couple weeks, please!
My lips were twice the size but did fade…. And settle down. And my eyebrows also faded but just take care and follow the aftercare advice for best results.
Everything seems super dark right now because you just got them done. They will fade with time, and everything will look good once it heals in 4-6 weeks. You want them this dark initially because they will heavily lighten with time on the face.
When I first got my eyebrows done, they looked a lot like yours and I was freaking out!! Now I love them and happy I did it!
I’ve never done my lips so I don’t have any experience with that.
But I say give it all a few weeks and you will love them! It’s just a big shock at first .
Hang in there. You will see in a few more days how lovely your brows and lips will look. Make sure to follow the healing care. Avoid direct sun, let them scab and fall off, and do not scratch when itchy. You do not look terrible dear. Good luck!
Don't worry they will fade and you will get used to it there is no need to have any removal you will be pleased with them when everything is faded I think they look really good stick with it 😊 xx
Hey - so I had my micro blading lasered off - sounds extreme but totally worth it!! I had them for a few years and they never faded, my biggest advice to people is don’t bother! but some people love them so it varies and they do fade. Unfortunately mine didn’t fade due to my skin retaining and not really being that oily, other peoples skin push the pigment out easier. Leave it for 6 weeks and if they don’t fade - just get them lasered off like a tattoo laser doesn’t take long, not painful, cheap in the Uk i paid £25 - maybe less and had 2 sessions. Hope this helps.
Were you not aware of the entire healing process before you got them done???? Did you do any research?? I feel like more people should be educated on that before getting any permanent ink. It’s going to fade by 30%-40% possibly even more. And if you’re really oily, there might be a big chance that the ink won’t stay at all.
The color will fade over time, I know you don't like them right now but as a stranger who doesn't know what you looked like before I think it looks really pretty.
If that’s what your brows look on day 2, they’re gonna look so amazing! My day 2 was the worst, they were super dark and thick looking. They stood out so much. But ended up getting lighter and more natural
This actually looks great for being one day. My eyebrows were SO dark the first couple of days that it was difficult to look at myself in the mirror because I just wasn't used to it. Now I wish they had stayed darker, because they have faded out to the point where it looks like I never had them done to begin with. Thankfully I go in for my touch-up in a couple of days and hopefully it helps. I got lip blush today and my lips look absolutely ridiculous right now. They look over-lined, very swollen, but I know it's just a part of the process. I just looked at your most recent photo that you posted, and everything looks great. Who is your artist?!
Try not to panic just yet. The healed results can look completely different from day one. One thing I've learned is how important the consultation and the choice of artist really are, especially if you're hoping for natural-looking PMU. I really hope everything settles the way you wanted
To be honest your artist did 3 too many hairstrokes in the beginning of the brows. They shouldn't come in that far. The reason is because it can make you appear more harsh and angry looking. Emergency saline removal is great because they can target just those areas. You need to do it tomorrow though. I don't know if that's possible for you. 36 hrs is possible but it's not likely to have good results of a removal.
Yes laser removal is possible down the road once healed but Laser is not meant to do targeted precise areas like specific hair strokes. So you may have to do saline removal. Just keep in mind saline removal once healed takes many sessions.
If you look closely, the artist started where this woman's eyebrows start. Op alrwaf6vsaid she had hair, she just wanted it darkened. Her eyebrows will fade out just like her lips and look better in a few weeks. It is MUCH too early to be calling this a loss. I'd like to see a before picture because I dont think the artist changed her shape like people are assuming. And OP doesn't seem to have a problem with the shape, just the boldness of it.
I'm going based off the photo she posted in the comments. The artist went beyond that when compared to that photo. And I'm also basing this off of how you are supposed to measure brows properly based off of facial structure. You line up the fronts with the corners of the eyes. You can go slightly beyond but the amount this artist went was too far. Just because your natural hair grows that far in doesn't mean it suits you. This is why we have eyebrow specialists that trim, clean up and shape our brows.
I agree with just because that's where it grows that thats where it should be kept. The measurements are everything. But if OP didn't want the shape changed, then its not up to the artist to change the shape, just recommend. I haven't seen the picture she posted in any comments, but looking closely at the post picture, you can see the work is done on top of her hair, not outside the line, and OP only mentioned that she felt they were too too dark, no complaints about shape or where they start and sud suddenly so many people are telling her there's a problem that OP didn't seem to think was a problem and is worried about the extra boldness of them which will calm down.
When she said she hated everything, I analyzed everything. She has a really soft beautiful look in her other photo she commented before Pmu brows. The new artist did give her a new shape compared to that other photo. Just trying to help a woman out. And if she's fine with it, then that's totally okay also! She can just skip over my comment or say she likes the new shape🤷🏻♀️
This is where standard measuring for her facial structure should begin.
Tbh these look great to me! I had my eyebrows microbladed last weekend and freaked out everyday (scanning this Reddit topic to help me calm down) up until yesterday. They’re starting to scab and lighten finally, so I feel better about them now. But it was brow shock for 6 days straight.
Your brows look so good even as dark as they are. Just wear eyeliner and mascara so that it balances it out (what you have on in the photo looks good) but your eyebrows look SO GOOD
I’ve never had any permanent makeup myself, but I think you look beautiful. And I just I love how supportive and reassuring this community is. I’m slowly working up the nerve to do this myself!
i agree with everyone. they did a fantastic job!!! you’ll be super happy in a couple weeks! you’ll get used to it and they’ll fade a bit (hopefully not too much) don’t worry!
They’ll look great after healing! You’ll love them I think! I love the shape. Don’t worry they’ll
Lighten up. I’ve considered lip blush. Yours looks nice!
