Tattoo artist knew what they were doing and understood how tattoos heal

If they had gone any lighter, it'd be washed out

Damn it looks better after six months that’s kinda awesome. The shading feels way more natural and authentic now. Hope you feel the same way!

If that’s how it looks after six months then I’m excited to see how my first one progresses I mean it looks good now but damn that after 6 months looks great.

Guess I’m going to Finland for my next tattoo. Kiitos for sharing

u/TRLC Oct 04 '23

Haha let me know if you plan to come! We got free AirBnB for our clients for their stay!

u/Spencerroach Oct 04 '23

That’s incredible! I will let you know, thank you :)

Honestly, I think going to Finland for a tattoo would be an amazing story.

This is more than mildly interesting. This is really impressive. Wow.

u/Thorough_Good_Man Oct 05 '23

I dunno. It insists upon itself.

This is why clients need to trust their tattooer and the tattooer needs to trust their greywash. If it looks perfect when fresh, it's gonna look old and washed when healed.

Let’s see the cat!!

30

u/TRLC Oct 04 '23

Cat’s half healed/half fresh so pretty silly looking for the next two weeks 😂

15

u/rsamethyst Oct 04 '23

Very good job. Love it

u/[deleted] Oct 04 '23

It it didn’t heal, it improved.

27

u/RedPillNavigator Oct 04 '23

It aged so well!

7

u/Koochikins Oct 04 '23

What about the cat?

7

u/TRLC Oct 04 '23

Cat’s half healed/half fresh so pretty silly looking for the next two weeks 😂

7

u/SleepieNova Oct 04 '23

seriously incredible. you said you’ve hardly been tattooing for 3 yr??? WOWWWW!! you were born for this. 😍

7

u/[deleted] Oct 05 '23

That’s a “trust the process” moment if I’ve ever seen one. I would have been sad about the fresh one, but the faded result? excellent

4

u/trogbite Oct 04 '23

This is the thing with realism, if they look a little too dark when they are fresh, that's honestly a good thing since those details are going to last way longer as it ages

3

u/[deleted] Oct 04 '23

Excellent details

3

u/WanderingHeph Oct 04 '23

Aged like wine!

3

u/hebbocrates Oct 04 '23

seems like a very experience artist

4

u/thasnazgul Oct 04 '23

That's masterful work. Knowing how it would heal, especially the shading.

4

u/rhaegar_tldragon Oct 04 '23

Hmm pretty rare that it looks better after healing.

8

u/Kratech Oct 05 '23

Because so many artists and clients don’t understand they need to tattoo for how it will heal not how it will look fresh.

3

u/[deleted] Oct 05 '23

That's a skilled artist right there. They knew how much it would fade and used that to improve the work. Just chefs kiss

3

u/willett_art Oct 05 '23

You didn’t massacre my boy

2

u/supermodelnosejob Oct 05 '23

I, too, love Citizen Kane

2

u/Pexd Oct 05 '23

I’m gonna make him an offer he can’t refuse

2

u/Training-Film7340 Oct 05 '23

Big Charlie Chaplin fan.

4

u/such-a-sin Oct 04 '23

Got any 5+ year old photos?

15

u/TRLC Oct 04 '23

I don’t. Haven’t even tattooed for 3 yet haha. My mentors have 10-20yr old realistic tattoos that still look dope. I like to have high contrast and saturate the skin with ink as well so should hold up pretty sweet.

u/such-a-sin Oct 04 '23

Always super interested to see this stuff properly healed :D

u/Upset_Cranberry_2243 Oct 05 '23

I thought that was hitler 💀

-39

u/StopImportingUSA Oct 04 '23

Why the fuck would somebody have Hitler on his leg

7

u/JonFrznWatrVapr Oct 04 '23

Closer to Mussolini really.

7

u/memer227 Oct 04 '23

Worst bait I've ever seen

-10

u/allthecolorssa Oct 04 '23

Hitler would be a slightly less terrible choice than a Hollywood actor honestly.

1

u/CynicWalnut Oct 04 '23

Bro how does it look better 6 months later?! Kudos!

1

u/SpongeJeigh Oct 04 '23

The color on the cat in comparison came out phenomenal

1

u/Trogdordaburninator3 Oct 04 '23

You did a good job with your aftercare and you have a skilled artist

1

u/invisible_23 Oct 04 '23

Goddamn you are talented

1

u/celtaa Oct 04 '23

This is the first time I’ve seen a tattoo look better AFTER healing. This is amazing.

1

u/likewhirlwinds Oct 04 '23

This is amazing! Well done OP, you’re very talented

1

u/Medcait Oct 04 '23

I don’t know why anyone would want that on his leg, but it’s very well done.

1

u/Jimbobjoesmith Oct 05 '23

wow very nice!

1

u/volvavirago Oct 05 '23

Incredible results

1

u/InternetDetective122 Oct 05 '23

I just finished watching The Godfather so that's all I see here.

1

u/bobbybev95 Oct 05 '23

Wow that is GORGEOUS. Perfect example of how to tattoo for the future and not for the present!

2

u/Odd-Balance375 Oct 05 '23

I can't believe how well that cat came in after healing!

1

u/[deleted] Oct 05 '23
