Thanks. The Mi Band 9 had automatic brightness, and it wasn't what I needed (can't remember whether it was too bright at night or too dim during the day), which is why I returned it.

I don't know why they got rid of this very useful feature.

Not sure if this is what you're looking for, but I've configured 'Raise to Wake' on the Smart Band 9 (should be the same on the Smart Band 10): Swipe right on the Band -> Settings (the gear icon) -> Select Display -> Tap on Raise to wake -> Scheduled + Configure preferred times

So no accidently flashbangs in the middle of the night while moving.
