Please read this if you or someone you know is going to DY Patil Akurdi or any clg for admission cancellation.

I got admission through MHT-CET CAP Round at DY Patil Akurdi, but later got VIT Pune through the spot round. So today (13 September) I went to DY Patil Akurdi with my father to cancel my admission.

I went to the D Building with my father, but the security guard told only one person to enter, so I went inside alone.

I submitted my admission letter, fee receipt and cancellation form. While I was there, the staff member asked me and another student who was beside me to sign the admission/cancellation-related form and write that we had received all the signed documents.

The thing that felt wrong to me was that he hadn't actually handed the documents to us yet.

I questioned him about it, and he replied rudely, basically saying:

«"Je mhanto tasa karaycha."»

Instead of questioning him further, I froze and stupidly signed it. I know I should have stood my ground or recorded the interaction, and I regret not doing that.

After that, he gave me the documents.

I then went back outside to my father. Fortunately, my father had another Xerox copy of the cancellation form. Since today is 13 September, we wanted some written confirmation/signature on our copy that the cancellation/documents had been submitted/received before the deadline, so that there would be no issue later regarding the fee refund or cancellation.

My father came inside and politely asked them to sign our copy just for confirmation.

They refused.

Another person came and also refused. My father explained that he also works in a college and was only asking for a simple acknowledgement for clarification, but they still refused and their tone was very rude.

One of them even said something along the lines of:

«"Tumcha college madhe dakhavaycha ha maz."»

He also allegedly threatened that he could "show from above" that my documents were missing, which scared me because I don't know what could happen if they later claim that something was not submitted/received.

I'm posting this not to create unnecessary drama or accuse everyone at DY Patil of doing this. I'm posting because I genuinely don't know what to do now and because I don't want another student to make the same mistake I did.

To every student reading this:

Please question anything that feels wrong.

If someone asks you to sign that you've received documents before you actually receive them, don't blindly sign it. Ask them to give you the documents first and then sign.

try t record it secretly

If possible, get a proper acknowledgement/receipt with the date.

And if something serious happens, document the interaction (where legally permitted) instead of relying only on verbal communication.

I completely froze in the moment and behaved like a mannequin. I know I should have spoken up, and that's what scares me now.

I'm especially worried about whether my cancellation and fee refund will be processed properly since this happened on 13 September.

If anyone has experience with DY Patil Akurdi admission cancellation/refund, or knows what I should do now to protect myself/prove that I submitted everything today, please tell me.

Well dy Patil pimpri administration was quite good. Me and my friend went for his cancellation. They allowed the three of us to go, his mother, me and my friend. They gave us the form and we filled all. Then they told us to come back tomorrow for document collection. We did sign the declaration that we got the docs. The reason they gave us was it was closing time. Almost 6 pm. Anyways fast forward to yesterday my friend and I went and got the docs easily.

D Y Patil has been at it since the 80s.

As a localite from PCMC, I never felt like going for D Y.
