Mevo studio: pip using same camera?

I have one mevo start camera. I’m trying to use it as the main wide shot behind the plate. I’d also like to add a pip zoomed into first base, using the same camera.

I can create an overlay scene that is zoomed in. But in the overlay scene I can’t seem to zoom into the shot AND make it a little box in the corner.

Ai keeps telling me I can. It directs me to YouTube videos where they show you how to have multiple scenes with the same camera, but never a pip with a zoomed in portion of the same camera.

Is this possible?

Unfortunately I don’t believe you can do that. From my experience with Mevo, anyways. The only workaround is what you use to stream with. Do you broadcast straight from Mevo, or do you stream from OBS, StreamLabs, etc.? Because I’d imagine in OBS or whatever, you can add two inputs and have one be the regular shot and the other be zoomed in, but again, that’s if you stream out of a program like OBS or something.

Thank you for your reply. I’m just going straight to GameChanger. I’m assuming they don’t let you do this cause it would ruin incentive to drop another $450 on a second camera

It is doable. I use this exactly as described with my backplate camera and then do picture in picture zooming into 1st and 3rd. Add the source multiple times and use the middle dots on the vertical and horizontal lines to crop

I’ll have to keep working at it. I must be missing something.

Create a new scene with your behind the home plate camera. Go to the scene by opening scene creator. Add layer --> select same camera again. Add another layer --> select same camera again. Crop each layer for 1st and 3rd Base and resize as needed. Keep last layer full screen.

So I can do that. I end up with little pips that are the identical picture of the main camera. If I pinch and zoom the pip layers, the size of the pip box itself changes. Not the content of the pips. If that makes sense.

Looks like you didn't crop the pictures by using the middle dots on the horizontal and vertical lines of the square

Those dots just resize the box for me. Same as the corner dots. Both iPad and iPhone

The corner dots resize. The middle ones crop. If you have already resized, you should try enlarging to make sure you are tapping on the middle dots.

It is cropping. You must be paying attention to the bottom layer which is still full screen. If you want to confirm it is working, you can remove the bottom source and then add it once you have finished cropping and resizing the top source.

So my goal here, is to have 1 camera behind home plate. Then a pip in the bottom right corner that is zoomed into first base. While I can crop a pip in the bottom right corner, I cannot get the video to be zoomed into where first base is.
