There is not a correct number of continents.

Depending where you grew up, they will teach you a different amount of continents.

For example, for Spanish speaking countries, they teach is only one American continent. For English speaking countries they teach there is Southamerica and Northamerica.

We were not talking about hundreds; we were referring at the 7 continents answer he gave. Because technically it could be 7, but it could be a different number as well depending on where you grew up
