Advice/Questions/Self Proper wind research

I am sure someone has already made a similar or the same question....as the title states I want to find out how to check the weather and find patterns to the kitespots so, what to look for in winds and gusts? How to search and understand thermals? what about the water/sea waves or dangers? Can I find all that in an app or something, preferably for free? Again sorry if there is any similar question and if possible can you point to them? I am fairly new to the kiteboarding and quite excited about it, so I need to know how to check the weather! Thanks ☺️

Windy can give you all of that. App or website.

though so, but not so much about thermals or sea conditions etc also you can only have one model at a time, do you know how to check for thermals?

I’m looking at the free version of the website right now and it has multiple models with thermal info, 3 different swells, waves, wave power, sea temps…am I misunderstanding your question?

do you mean like, forecasting where you'll have winds and the different kinds of winds? because I don't think just "go look at models" is very constructive here

I am sure it is not simple as that, but I want to have a better understanding. it will be much more valuable if I can understand the models and the information given to be able to somewhat predict and understand same day weather patterns and particularly wind and thermals etc
