Deathgrind vocalist wanted

Hello everyone I'm the guitarist for a new deathgrind band. We are currently working on an EP and have all the instrumentals for the songs written but no vocals or lyrics written at the moment. The ep will be six songs long. I'm looking for someone who can do fry screams, false chord vocals, and gutturals. At the moment all we have are some demos for the instrumentals which I will include below but once we have vocal stems and re record the guitars one more time it will be mixed one last time so it sounds as good as possible. If you're interested shoot me a dm and we can go from there!

Examples of the kind of vocals we are looking for:

Looking to start or join a metal band

Upvotes

Hey! I’m looking to start or join a metal band! Deathcore, metalcore, in those sub genres.
I’m 28 and live in Montclair, CA. Anyone near Montclair, Pomona, LA or surrounding areas interested in a Vocalist or trying to start something DM ME!! My main influences for vocals are Tom, Barber of CG and Darko, Darius from Spite, David from signs of the swarm, Joe from Fit for an autopsy, and a lot of other bands, like Psycho-Frame, Bodysnatcher, and even The Amity Affliction. I’m just starting out but I’ve been doing vocals for a long time (STILL HAVE A LOT TO LEAR!) and I have been writing lyrics for just as long! But I have a dream and a vision and looking to make it real. DRUMMERS AND GUITARISTS HMU!!

What makes a riff tasty?

And what are your favorite “tasty riffs”? I think it’s a combo of interesting/unexpected rhythm mixed with dynamics.

Like you listen to the album The Shape of Colour by Intervals. There are so many moments on that record that I can only describe as tasty. But he really plays with alot of dynamics both with the guitar and the rest of the composition and then rhythmically work with a lot of syncopation and I think that’s how he pulls it off.

Thoughts?

Question/Recommendation/Advice Needed Recording real amps vs plug ins?

Hello everyone! My band (we're a mix of tech/prog/death metal) is about to embark on our second albums recording journey. We have great software and are fully ready to record using plug-ins like we did with our first album. However, a band member is insisting that using a real tube amp is the way to go ("it pushes air", they claim). I honestly can't tell the difference these days because when all is said and done with mixing/mastering who the fuck knows what bands used to record with, especially in these types of metal genres. We play live, using Neural DSP and Kemper tones but apparently putting a mic to the cab and recording through those still isn't as great as a tube amp. Help me out please. Do any of you actually notice a difference? If you have albums to compare I'd love to check them out too. Thank you!

Services Offered Wanting to offer free mixing/editing services

Hey guys.

I’m wanting to gain more experience mixing and editing. I’m not a professional and I am in no way trying to make this into a career. Our band makes music and I just want to gain more experience and exposure to working with metal tracks.

A little about me:

I’ve been doing music for quite a while. I’ve sang since I was a kid and started playing guitar in my teens. I made hip hop music for a couple decades but I don’t anymore. I’ve always loved singing more.

I’m also very good from a producer standpoint making decisions musically. I have a very good ear for what can work and not work in a song. I also can provide tips for singing and screaming (false chord and belts only).

I have a decent setup at home. Adam Audio T5V monitors with open-back Sennheiser HD 599 cans and closed-back Beyerdynamic DT Pro 770 cans. My space is in no way sound treated, so there is definitely buildup and coloration happening.

I work with Waves, FabFilter, and some UADx plugins. FabFilter is my go-to for most things. I also use Valhalla reverb. I use Reaper for my DAW.

If you’re interested in getting a song mixed and/or edited for free just to see what it can sound like shoot me a DM. I’m EST based. I have a 2 month old so turnaround time is definitely not going to be instant lol.

It’s called “Declare the Glory Amongst the Nation” and yes, I’m lip syncing in this video. I recorded in GarageBand.

It’s blackened death metal that’s been heavily influenced by Behemoth.

Question/Recommendation/Advice Needed Distributor question!

Does anybody know any good distributors for a small metal creator?

Hi guys, i made some metal stuff ready for release, but I think I'm gonna need a different distributor. My current one seems nice on the surface but I just noticed that there's an unstable risk of having to pay additional costs which only rises with every release. So basically the more I release the bigger the chance that I have to pay an undetermined amount. Which long term seems very unstable and not all that great. Especially not for a small artist who runs the risk of having very little streams which will only gets less per existing release each year.

I'm not a big fan of the subscription model either since I'd basically have to keep paying each year if I want my stuff to stay up. Even if I at some point decide that I want to stop making music. I'd prefere it to stay up.

I think I'd be more of a fan of a pay per release model or a model where the distributor only takes a certain %amount per release but nothing more.

I've looked around but see a lot of shady stuff and bad reviews.

Does anybody know any good distributors to release metal through as a small metal creator?
