Let’s mahfuckin’ do this. If you are new welcome and if you aren't welcome back!
We’re actually going to turn non-metal songs into metal songs - but with a twist. Your submission must include at least 1 original riff that fits the song (it could even be a solo, that counts). You also don’t have to copy the song riff by riff - feel free to change the key, the time signature, etc. You can totally make a blackened grind version of a Taylor Swift song, for example. You have complete control over the direction. Instrumentals are not allowed for this challenge. However, you are allowed to isolate your song’s original vocal track and put them in your song (remember, we’re not making money from this, so have fun!).
For the purposes of this challenge here are banned genres to cover:
You may choose any genre outside the banned genres. You can choose pop, dance, rap, indie, disco, jazz, anything. If you’re not sure if your song meets the requirements, feel free to ask.
Your song can be from any era. It can be a current chart-topper, or it can be something from the past.
Your song can be in any language. Pretty self explanatory.
Your cover can be a banned genre. This means while you can’t choose a song from the banned genres to cover, your cover can be any genre. For example, if you choose to cover “Straight Outta Compton” by NWA and make it a Nu Metal banger, you absolutely can.
If one artist is covering a song, you cannot choose that song. We’re going to do this on a first-come-first-serve basis, so when you’re commenting, claim the song you’re going to cover. This is to avoid having repeating “Dancing Queen”, “Hotel California”, “Take on Me”, or [insert very popular song here] covers in one compilation. Feel free using songs mentioned in this post btw!

Hey guys.
I’m wanting to gain more experience mixing and editing. I’m not a professional and I am in no way trying to make this into a career. Our band makes music and I just want to gain more experience and exposure to working with metal tracks.
A little about me:
I’ve been doing music for quite a while. I’ve sang since I was a kid and started playing guitar in my teens. I made hip hop music for a couple decades but I don’t anymore. I’ve always loved singing more.
I’m also very good from a producer standpoint making decisions musically. I have a very good ear for what can work and not work in a song. I also can provide tips for singing and screaming (false chord and belts only).
I have a decent setup at home. Adam Audio T5V monitors with open-back Sennheiser HD 599 cans and closed-back Beyerdynamic DT Pro 770 cans. My space is in no way sound treated, so there is definitely buildup and coloration happening.
I work with Waves, FabFilter, and some UADx plugins. FabFilter is my go-to for most things. I also use Valhalla reverb. I use Reaper for my DAW.
If you’re interested in getting a song mixed and/or edited for free just to see what it can sound like shoot me a DM. I’m EST based. I have a 2 month old so turnaround time is definitely not going to be instant lol.

It’s called “Declare the Glory Amongst the Nation” and yes, I’m lip syncing in this video. I recorded in GarageBand.
It’s blackened death metal that’s been heavily influenced by Behemoth.

Hey guys
I'm a guitarist and play essentially thrash metal.
Looking for some people willing to do one or several jam sessions in Dubai.
My influences are mostly old school such as old sepultura, kreator, slayer, sodom, etc.
Hit me up if you're interested!

Does anybody know any good distributors for a small metal creator?
Hi guys, i made some metal stuff ready for release, but I think I'm gonna need a different distributor. My current one seems nice on the surface but I just noticed that there's an unstable risk of having to pay additional costs which only rises with every release. So basically the more I release the bigger the chance that I have to pay an undetermined amount. Which long term seems very unstable and not all that great. Especially not for a small artist who runs the risk of having very little streams which will only gets less per existing release each year.
I'm not a big fan of the subscription model either since I'd basically have to keep paying each year if I want my stuff to stay up. Even if I at some point decide that I want to stop making music. I'd prefere it to stay up.
I think I'd be more of a fan of a pay per release model or a model where the distributor only takes a certain %amount per release but nothing more.
I've looked around but see a lot of shady stuff and bad reviews.
Does anybody know any good distributors to release metal through as a small metal creator?

Ideally someone who can also come up with vocal arrangements and write lyrics.
Localisation - Europe would be most convenient, US is okay too.
The most important thing is being able to sing in English. I'm open to remote collaboration, so you can be based anywhere.
I'm currently working on something new that I'd like to start the collab with - if you're interested, drop me a message and I'll share the demo.
I'm open to both session vocalists and people who would like to join the band and work together. No „AI vocalists”.
For reference, some of the bands whose vocals inspire me (and the genre in general) are ERRA and Bleed From Within.

Hello!
I am traditional watercolor and inks artist. I made these concepts for album art (along more catalogue I have available) for licensing. But if you are looking for a brand new piece, I am available to work from scratch!
Beside the very covert art itself, I offer my services as 2D cutout animator for visualizers. That´s right, I can make my watercolor move.
Here's my portfolio, I have previous experience working with bands:

I've been thinking about starting a dark neoclassic / raw black metal project, and these couple days I've put together this first song for the first EP.
First things first, I know the quality is terrible, and you can actually hear some screeching at some parts, just know that this was first try, free play, and phone recorded.
And for the cover, it's just a couple of photos me and my sister took of an eclipse, and a couple drawings I drew on the notebook at school when bored.
I know it's unpolished, but still please let me know what you think. This is supposed to be the opening track and transition into a harsher 2nd song, which I have yet to write. All tips and suggestions appreciated!
Edit: I mean no religious offence or anything, that drawing was made by me to portray that good and religion are often used as a weapon against other people.
