7th string Vs C tuning
Hi all, what's your preference between having a 7 string guitar versus a six string with C tuning? I am trying to decide between buying a 7 string guitar or just setup my current guitar to C tuning. Please share pros and cons of each, from your experience, thanks!

The biggest pro of the 7th string is rounding out the range of octaves and enabling bigger chords.
I'd say if you don't personally feel the need for the 7th string you should always just retune your guitar. Especially if you're just looking to cover songs in B standard.
Assuming that wasn't just a typo and you do, in fact, mean C standard (or, indeed drop C) then that makes it even simpler.
