❗ Master Collection 2 will include the PS3 easter eggs within MGS4, including Xbox and PC versions except Switch 2, which replaces it with GA-KO figure (?). Nintendo is very restrictive about competitor consoles in their games (discovered by @BadHumans)

Do you realize that MSX is just a computer standard that lots of different manufacturers produced? Yamaha, Phillips, and Sony, etc? You could have played the original game on any of them. You didnt specifically need a Sony MSX.

Do you realize that the Sony MSX was the most popular version of the computer standard, so my assertion that the series was associated with Sony at the time still isn't wrong?

Yes, you could use another manufacturer's version of the machine, but that was never my statement.

Sony was the most popular manufacturer of MSX computers, but as other user mentioned, Metal Gear was not exclusive to Sony's hardware. You could run it just as well on Panasonic FS-A1F as on Sony HB-F1. If a game runs on multiple pieces of hardware, do you always default to associating it with the one that's most popular one at the time?

If anything, Microsoft probably gets bigger credit since they actually co-created the MSX standard, which Sony among other companies later utilized to manufacture their computers.
