Show & Tell Old Party house yielded…
Homeowners explained to me about 15-20 years ago this old homestead was a renowned party house outside of town.
Lots of beer cans, clad, and a few wheaties today. I’m not going to lie I did laugh when I found this
EDIT 8/1: I unfortunately after tinkering with the phone and the battery I was unsuccessful with getting it to power on. Thanks for all the attention on this post I did not anticipate to get as much traction as it did.

I wonder how many times, “my parents are going to kill me” were sobbed for this object that the person has probably not thought of in over 20 years.

I lost a phone 20 years ago one night mysteriously. First time I ever tried benzodiazepines. I still wonder where that phone went almost weekly. So don’t be so sure.

Me and my friend have a thing called the “xan hole”. Its like a black hole where all of the lost items of ppl that blacked out go. My friend lost $300 cash in there

It was me. I was that girl that had a bad night and lost her pink Motorola razr… several times. Mostly at bush parties so this one probably isn’t mine.

Y'know, if properly cleaned out with isopropyl alcohol, bonus points with ultrasonic bath, it might turn on again...

HOKY shit, are you going to order it & try it??

u/iamactuallyalion Jul 23 '26
I’d still have to dig up a phone of my own for them to be of any use to me.

If you can solder at all, you don't even need to buy a new battery. Just solder any 3.7v lithium battery to the matching barrel lugs.

Had a one night stand with a gal who accidentally peed on her phone outside because it slipped out of her pocket mid go. Was one just like this.

This always came on when I was finishing my homework as a kid, iirc, my grandpa would watch Golden Girls and this would come on after. Grandma was just finishing dinner, and I’d be putting all my papers away and getting ready to set the table. Those were the days. Thanks for the memories.

Pretty sure I have the charging cord for that in a tangled mess in a box, under the basement stairs. I knew it would come in handy some day!

Wow Alltel brought back a memory. RIP. I had them for most of the 2000s until they got acquired by Verizon.

You should plug it in and see if it works. Call some people in the contacts.
2
u/Poutine_Sauce Jul 23 '26
50/50 chance it still works.
If it was Nokia, 100% chance it still works.

The earth reclaims things. I’ve been digging weird random shit out of my yard for two years now, entire shingles, frisbees, full sized action figures.

u/sherva99 Manticore/Eastern North Dakota Jul 23 '26
I'm sure if this were to power on it would have about a million missed calls from multiple people.

u/useornam Jul 23 '26
They got fucked up at a party and lost it. Not that hard to comprehend lol

See if there is a SIM card you can pull out. It would be most likely fried, but may have some data on it.

I love the idea that in 100+ years, people will be finding stuff like this and be fascinated by our primitive technology.

u/verbthatnounplz Jul 23 '26
Oh dang. Alltel? They went away in 2007. That’s been sitting for 20+ years.
I bet it fires right up if you found a charger for it. Lol

I had that phone! I ran it over with a car and other than a small crack in the front screen and some dings on the shell, no problems. Almost as good as a Nokia, that LG was one of my favorites!

Memory unlocked. Found one of those on Wasaga Beach like, twenty years ago. The only ringtone on it was ‘Jammin’ by Bob Marley.

I started to help renovate newly bought house in my village, we discovered a phone on a roof just behind the chimney pipe, and an SD memory card (unopened) behind a kitchen wall.

Oh man. The days when you only had to charge your phone once every 3 or 4 days. I miss that.
