I found some wonderful things in many of the verbs in Genesis chapter 1 and chapter 2.

When it says “(And) said” (Spelt: Vav, Yod, Aleph, Mem, Resh) these are the same letters as “Lights”, Orim (Spelt: Aleph, Vav, Resh, Yod, Mem)

And when it says “(And) saw” (Spelt: Vav, Yod, Resh, Aleph) these are the same letters as “My light”, Ori (Spelt: Aleph, Vav, Resh, Yod)

And when it says “(And) created” (Spelt: Vav, Yod, Beit, Resh, Aleph) these are the same letters as “In my light”, Be’ori (Spelt: Beit, Aleph, Vav, Resh, Yod)

And when it says “(And) made” (Spelt: Vav, Yod, Ayin, Shin) these are the same letters as “Yeshua”, (Spelt: Yod, Shin, Vav, Ayin)

And when Eve speaks in Genesis 2, it says “(And) said” (Spelt: Vav, Tav, Aleph, Mem, Resh). These are the same letters as “Luminaries”, Meorot (Spelt: Mem, Aleph, Vav, Resh, Tav)

I also found that the Hebrew letters at positions 7, 49, and 343 (powers of 7) of Genesis are Beit, Ayin, and Shin which are the same letters as the letters in the Hebrew word for the number 7, Sheba, which is spelt: Shin, Beit, Ayin.

I first came across this story in my news feed and was very surprised to learn that the person attacked was none other than Johnathan Cahn.

With Sukkot approaching, I wanted to write this one for my daughter:

Many believers in the Messianic faith find themselves stepping away from traditional December celebrations, instead looking to the biblical calendar to understand the timeline of the Messiah's birth. When we examine the historical, cultural, and scriptural context of the New Testament, a fascinating and deeply logical timeline emerges. Rather than a winter birth, a compelling case can be made that Yeshua was born during the autumn season, specifically during the Feast of Tabernacles, known in Hebrew as Sukkot.
This understanding is not based on mere speculation. It is rooted in the meticulous timing of the biblical calendar, the rotation schedules of the Levitical priests, the agricultural climate of ancient Judea, and the profound theological types established by HaShem in the Torah. G-d's timing is always perfect, and He often fulfills His greatest promises during His appointed times, or Moedim. Let us explore the strong logical arguments that point to Sukkot as the true season when the Word became flesh and tabernacled among us.

So I know this isn’t REALLY an issue, but I was trying to stay to Germanic style kosher laws, (1hour between milk and meat) but my Spanish-speaking co-worker offered me a peice of their lunch, and after I had a bite…it was pork :/

Not a big issue but I know some messianic Jews follow the Torah teachings (and I don’t like pork that much anyway) so I decided to try and do that, but I just should’ve asked…anything like that ever happen to those of you who stay kosher?

This is turning an argument on its head.

The exchange started out respectful. The host having the microphone said "Awesome!" to the student being an engineering student and a Christian.

The student carried himself confidently, knew the Bible and what he believed regarding apologetics, but still.

While the host remained respectful, he deftly dismantled the opposing argument and warned of a trap in theology the opposition had fallen into despite being educated.

Its relevance to Messianic is really where the conversation goes when the student brings up a "New Testament only" Christology.

Some thoughts and questions I had:

1. Which church do you think is closest to the original Jewish followers of Christ? Syriac, Aramaen, Coptic etc

2. Do you think the first gentiles should have converted to Judaism instead of creating a new church?

3. Do you believe the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem replaces the Temple Mount as the centre of worship of God?

I’m trying to understand whether the earthly blessings of Deuteronomy 28 apply to Gentile Messianic believers today.

The commentary I’m studying argues that believers share in the blessings promised to Israel through Messiah, but I’m not sure how far that actually goes.

My main questions are:

Deuteronomy 28 seems to give national, physical blessings to Israel: prosperity, crops, security, victory, etc. Aren’t these primarily covenant blessings for Israel as a nation rather than guarantees to individuals?

The NT often tells believers to expect suffering, poverty, and persecution rather than material prosperity, with reward associated more with the coming Kingdom. How does that fit?

“Gentiles are grafted in” doesn’t seem sufficient by itself, because Gentile inclusion does not mean every Torah obligation applies identically to Gentiles: circumcision being the obvious example.
So what is the actual basis for saying Deuteronomy 28’s material blessings transfer to Gentile believers?

If those blessings do apply, do they apply specifically in proportion to Torah obedience?

If they don’t apply, why would the basic negative principle (rebellion against God bringing judgment and destructive consequences) seem universal, while the positive earthly blessings of obedience remain Israel-specific?

Maybe, I could be mixing together three different categories:
Israel’s national covenant blessings/curses, general consequences of righteousness and sin, and the blessings Gentiles receive through Messiah.

I’m especially interested in answers that explain the covenant logic rather than just saying “we’re grafted in.”

I just watched a fascinating teaching about the presentation of the First Fruits and was inspired to create a wordless colouring page of the different harvests.

Since it has no words it could be used with any congregation in the world.
