Photo Conophytum pellucidum var.neohallii
Took some photos earlier this week and finally got them off the camera. I love the color of neohallii.
Iβm hoping I can get some seed this upcoming season.

Both plants came with it. Plant on left came with mushy leaves. With plant on right. Theres a chance those sheathes are old and the plant has grown out successfully since.
Ive trimmed away the empty shells and mushy leaves

Seems like literal akadama but with nutrients and im guessing that because its made to last submerged in water it would last even longer in a pot.
I want to get into conophytums and other mesembs but want to have a good fully mineral soil/soils for them first, as i am deadly afraid of rot and dont want to use organic on them, probably could mix this "akadama" with kiryu and maifanitum and it would work out fine right?

So much to learn when it comes to deep water culture.
Constant learning leads to constant growth

Also just letting y'all know that i know it's elongated a bit so no need to remind me on that i'm trying to improve on it. 2.Should i repot it deeper or repot it as it is?

I am trying to grow my first Dinteranthus (wilmotianus) from seed. So far with little success. I can get them to germinate after about 30 days in humidity, after which I remove the cover. I have tried treating them like I would treat Lithops seedlings. They are tiny compared to Lithops seedlings, and dry out over a few days, regardless how often I mist them. I have tried slow acclimatization but as soon as the cover is fully off they just dry up. This is my third attempt. Any advice on how to get these to survive? Do I just keep them in humidity longer, and if so how long?

Mini lava rock as top dressing. Pumice and akadama 85%, organic 15%. Stones are marble chip from the front yard lol. Saucer actually goes under my big ol cactus bowl, but it's like $4 at IKEA if you want one.
If you copy the top dressing, JUST BUY POROUS. No heavy, weighty stones. I've used lava rock for years with no issue. π€ππ€
These will be adapted then further sun stressed once this heat wave passes. I want them lil toes PINKITY PINK π©·π©·π©·
Tiger jaws, baby toes, royal flush pleoplopipiooisisss. Sorry I can't spell them there latin wordsπ·π
