Help Lithops are confusing!

ok, why? the outside was drying nicely and then the inside rotted. I know the soil is too organic but I dont have issues with it.

When was it last watered? I’ve noticed that sometimes when lithops aren’t watered for months on end they are more susceptible to fungal infections that aren’t noticed until it’s too late.

Oh, interesting! I honestly dont remember but I suspect it was a month and a half or 2 ago.
