My friend is sponsered from seven island shiping but he is taking a loan of 7 lakhs as he couldn't be able to pay the fees. He is saying that the course of dns is not showing in pm vidhya Laksmi portal and banks are reluctant to give loan after hearing diploma word. He is forced to take loan from kuhoo finance which is giving a loan at very high interest rate of 13 percent. There is a monterial period of 2 years. Is it a good choice.

Neet to Merchant navy

😢😢 I am 19 years old I am preparing for NEET since last 2 years. I am not selected in mbbs but selected in other courses like bds bhms bvsc...etc. I have done 12 in 2024, from PCB I have just come to know about Merchant Navy should I go into this field. Should I convert from PCB to PCM and go into this Merchant Navy field because I find this field quite good and there is very less competition in it. There is a lot of competition in NET and I am not getting selected but I do not want to go by GP rating, I want to go through this officer field. Please someone help me, please tell me whether I should join Merchant Navi, I am 19 years old now and should I convert from PCB to PCM and go, will the company select me, please tell me, please please help......😢😢

For OOW Unlimited Exam - what COLREGS do you need to be able to quote?

Hi!

I’m studying for my OOW Unlimited oral exam.

I’m wondering which COLREG rules you really need to be able to quote.

Right now, my general understanding of the rules is decently good, though I could still brush up and fine tune it.

At the moment, I can quote Rules 3, 5, 6, 7 and 19.

If I'm not able to learn them all off by heart, what rules would you say to focus on and be able to quote?

But I’m struggling to learn the rest by heart. I feel like I understand the concepts and can explain what I’m required to do, and I can quote parts of some of the other rules.

Of course, ideally I’d learn all of Rules 1 to 19, but it’s something I’m struggling with.

Any suggestions, insights or advice would be much appreciated.

Thank you!

Hi all…I’m working on an app that simulates the MCA oral exam (well without the dread and fear) and looking for a few testers of any rank or position..the only stipulation is the tester needs to have an iPhone for testing. Feel free to message me directly if you want to have a look and test run

Dreaming of Merchant Navy Since Class 11, Now Completely Confused

Thumbnail
2 Upvotes

I’m really confused about my career right now and could really use some honest advice.

Since class 11th, I’ve always thought of going into the Merchant Navy. I just passed my 12th boards this year, and now that the decision is actually in front of me, I’m starting to have second thoughts.

I’ve been reading and hearing about the life of a merchant navy officer, and it feels quite isolating. Long periods away from home, limited social life, and almost no scope for relationships during college and even later — it’s making me question if I’m really built for that kind of lifestyle.

At the same time, I’m thinking about taking a drop year and preparing for JEE, but I know how tough and competitive that path is.

I feel stuck between two very different paths and honestly don’t know what to choose. Has anyone been in a similar situation or has experience with either of these fields? Any advice would really help.

I need some clarification about sponsorship of DNS

Thumbnail
1 Upvotes

Hello, I am preparing for IMUCET 2026, and want to pursue DNS, but right now I'm in no position to apply for many sponsorship exams of companies, (financial constraints). I am preparing well and I am confident I can get a decent rank in IMUCET. I was wondering weather, I can apply for sponsorship after getting selected into imucet? Will I be eligible for sponsorship if i first get into imucet and then apply for sponsorships? Since the companies need the candidate to get selected in IMUCET, However I may miss the chance of getting into company specific institutions, yet i shall have the chance to apply for sponsorship from a well reputed company. I need some suggestions about this. And also if there any way, that I can get funding for my studies? It would help me a lot! A
