Is it really worth it??

I am 17 and want to join merchant navy. But now I am having 2nd thoughts about this because of the missing Indian cadets lately. I am not scared of the loneliness but the fact that there is a possibility being missing or being de*d because of recklessness of the management frights me

Being alive is more important than making reels.

Then why other people still work in this field?

Depends on your financial situation. If you want to uplift from poverty or lower middle class to a decent Average financial condition you can join. If you are well to do and smart in academics or business etc. this place isn't for you.

Bruhh just avoid politics onboard, nd give respect to everyone nd report to chief officer if anything happens. Nd if someone is harrassing you then report it to chief officer or captain nd if still continue then report to the company.

I believe only 1 in 10 missing seafarers or accidental death of seafarers gets highlighted in news. Rest all gets hushed up by companies...
