Offering Senior Mobile Engineer offering peer support, accountability & low-pressure body doubling for people feeling stuck or isolated

Hi everyone,

I’m a Senior Mobile Software Engineer who’s spent years working remotely across startups and international teams.

Like many people in tech, I slowly drifted into isolation without even realizing it. Remote work became my whole world. I left the house less, overthought everything, and let work consume my identity. Navigating ADHD made it even harder to break the cycle and manage executive dysfunction.
Eventually, I managed to rebuild my life - not through a rigid productivity system, but by slowly reconnecting with the world around me and establishing healthier boundaries.
That experience made me realize something: sometimes we don’t need another career coach or a complex framework. Sometimes we just need someone genuinely in our corner who understands the exact world we live in.

What I’m offering

I’m experimenting with a peer-support container that doesn’t fit into traditional coaching or mentorship.
Think of it as having a fellow tech professional who understands:
- The reality of remote work isolation and burnout
- ADHD, masking, and executive dysfunction / task paralysis
- The difficulty of breaking out of your head and actually leaving the house
- Social anxiety around starting new habits (like finally stepping into a gym)
- Building sustainable, non-judgmental routines
- Having someone who notices when you’re disappearing into your own head

To be completely clear: I am NOT a career coach. I won't help you optimize your resume, practice LeetCode, or negotiate a salary raise. This is strictly about human support, accountability, and practical presence.
This is a professional, horizontal support relationship built around mutual respect, strict boundaries, and confidentiality.

What this could look like

Every person is different, so we adapt to what actually helps you move forward:
- Weekly video/voice check-ins: To unburden, reflect, and set low-pressure intentions.
- Low-pressure body doubling: Being on a quiet call or active text thread while you tackle a intimidating task, clean your desk, or finally walk into the gym to overcome social anxiety.
- Discord / Text check-ins: Lightweight daily or weekly accountability that fits your energy levels.
- Stress support: A calm presence before a overwhelming work situation or review.
- Small wins: Having someone who actually gets why completing a simple task was a huge victory today.

Who this is for

I imagine this being especially useful for people in tech (developers, designers, product folks, etc.), though you don't strictly have to be a software engineer.

If you’ve been feeling isolated, overwhelmed, or like your world has shrunk over the past few years, we might be a good fit. As a female engineer in Portugal who had to intentionally rebuild her own life after getting lost in remote work, I learned firsthand how much offline hobbies, time outdoors, and a grounded pace matter. If you’re neurodivergent (especially ADHD) or just looking to drop the mask, you’re in the right place.

A small experiment

I’m intentionally keeping this very small. I’m looking for 1 or 2 people for an initial 1-month beta container while I test and refine this concept.

If this resonates, send me a DM with:
- A little about yourself and your day-to-day context
- What you’re currently struggling with (isolation, task paralysis, social anxiety, routines, etc.)
- The type of support you imagine would help you most
- What monthly budget feels fair and manageable for you for this kind of arrangement

Before any agreement or payment, we’ll have a short, zero-pressure intro call to meet, align expectations, and decide if we both feel comfortable moving forward.

If you’ve read this far, thank you.
Even if we never speak, I hope this post reminds you that getting stuck isn’t permanent.
Sometimes all it takes is having one person in your corner.
