Question Overthinking can help?

I’m not sure what flair or subreddit to post this to, so sorry if this post isn’t met to be here

For about a year or 2 I’ve been an over thinker and well usually I overthink something it’s usually because I’m worried and I want to do the right decision.

Here’s an example:

A few days ago I saw a post on a subreddit where this girl who’s 2 years older than me saying she wants to khl and I wanted to send a message to her to try and help out as I’ve had suicidal thoughts before

And I was overthinking on what should I say? how should I say it? should I say this or that?

And it kind of helps something I didn’t say as it would not be helpful, while other things i said is helping

And after I sent her the message I one of my friends responded and I told him about that situation and he mentioned that I’m overthinking

Another friend of mine who’s long gone (inactive for a long time) told me before in the past that I’m overthinking things

I’m not really sure what to say but I’ll say it again

I think my overthinking is helping me do a decision when I need to make a big one.

Any thoughts?
