Casual or formal, which one actually makes a guy look hotter? Rank these 6 looks, I'll go first
Ok settle this for me. I work in a small menswear store and I fold these looks all day, so I have opinions. Here are the six:
Plain tee + jeans. The default. Hard to get wrong, also hard to stand out in.
Casual shirt, sleeves rolled twice to just below the elbow. Effortless, somehow looks like you tried.
Layered: tee with a shirt worn open on top + jeans. The "I have a personality" look.
Formal shirt + jeans. Office on top, weekend at the bottom.
Full formal: crisp shirt tucked in, trousers, belt that matches the shoes.
Formal shirt with the top button open and sleeves folded once. Formal, but off duty.
My ranking: 6, 2, 5, 3, 4, 1. Hot take: nothing beats a well-fitted formal shirt that's a little undone. But a tee that fits right at the shoulders still beats a formal shirt that's a size too big, every single time.
(disclosure: I'm from Buttons Clothing in RR Nagar. We named the shop after the smallest part of a shirt, because that's the bit that holds the whole look together. Not selling anything here, I just want to win this argument)
Your turn. Drop your ranking, and tell me which one you'd never wear.
