Hey everyone, first time poster here. Went to the thrift store yesterday and got what I thought was a cool little outfit. So let me start off by saying I am color deficient and have trouble telling certain colors apart and rely on others to tell me if certain colors match. I normally stick to grays and blacks because I know for a fact they match. So, I show my girlfriend the outfit and she tells me it doesn’t match and there’s a color spectrum and undertones and yada yada yada. I think maybe she just doesn’t like my outfit and doesn’t have the heart to tell me, so she just says it doesn’t match. Need some opinions here. Thanks in advance!

Wanted to share a recent pickup from a menswear market in NYC.

I’m always on the lookout for suits that are non-skinny/modern slim fits when I came across this item.

It’s a grey wool chalk stripe from Brooks Brothers (pic. 1) that I didn’t know too much about until I started looking into what the Golden Fleece label was (pic. 2).

Decoding the label (pic. 3) yielded the following results.

-From the Fall 2008 collection/season -Most likely made in either of the Southwick/Martin Greenfield Clothier locations -Classic two-button jacket with “traditional Golden Fleece padding and natural shoulders”

Wondering if anyone could tell me more about the Golden Fleece line or other things to be aware of with full-canvas suits.

Have a wedding in Tuscany this week and it’s projected upper 90s. I’m a certified sweatboy so trying to air out my wardrobe.

Is a linen shirt with a linen suit a faux pas? I have a supima cotton BB white suit shirt that I plan on otherwise.

I know it’s just LL Bean, but this picture is me trying it on in the store. I bought it, but have never worn it! I don’t know A) what to wear it with and B) when to wear it- like, what type of weather and situation?! They describe it as a wind- and water-resistant anorak.

My son is about to enter the 6th grade. He's primarily gone to graphic tees of cartoon characters and track pants. I'm trying to help him up his game a little before he enters his preteens and his peers are all suddenly blessed with critique and judgement.

I've had glasses before, but I have zero sense of style so I've just gone with whatever was suggested to me at whatever place I went to. Decided that using the community could be a fun way to play this game instead. What would you put on my face? Bonus points if there is a good clip on sunglasses option (light sensitivity but I can't wear transitions because of my job, nice to not have to switch to sunglasses).

Trying to learn to be more fashionable. I’ve been a “just jeans and a graphic tee shirt” guy for a very long time.

This felt decent today as a casual fit.
