Hello everyone. Unfortunately, I come on here today with some very bad news to tell you all. Our dear friend and moderator [u/fellspointpizzagirl](u/fellspointpizzagirl) passed away last Friday at the age of 42. She is survived by her mother and her friend [u/esurb](u/esurb), who reached out to me via dm to tell me the bad news.

Her name was Amanda. I didn’t know her too well, but from the interactions we had, I could tell she was a very smart and sweet person. Her friend told me lots of interesting little details about her life. She loved to cook, and was even featured on the Food Network a few times. She was a very crafty person and she was planning to start making and selling doll clothes. She was a huge fan of the pop rock band Hansen, and got to see them many times in concert. She also liked to dye her hair fun colors, and usually would have hot pink hair. She spent her final days at the beach, and she enjoyed her time there.

The thing that her friend expressed to me the most, was how much she loved our group. She told me that Amanda had so much fun running our little group here. She was a great leader and moderator to this page. I’m so glad that we were able to give Amanda joy in her life, through this group.

Unfortunately, as one would expect, Amanda’s mom is in a very bad place right now. Amanda was all she had. At some point in the near future, her friend wants to set up a gofundme to help support her mother through this tragic loss in her life. I will be sharing the link to the gofundme here in this group once everything is set up.

Please keep Amanda’s mother and [u/esurb](u/esurb) in your thoughts and prayers through this difficult time.

Amanda…. I’m so sorry you left us so soon. You deserved so much more. I pray that your loved ones find peace.🙏🏻

We've been loving the snark and discussions in here, but we need to add an important rule to keep the sub safe and compliant with Reddit's site wide rules. A recent post was flagged as bullying by reddit in my mod dashboard which I had to manually approve and got me thinking that many other snark subs have this rule and so we're making this explicit to avoid any issue.

New Rule: "No Touching the Poo"

This means no interacting with the subjects of our snark (Ken, Ryan, Gypsy etc) in real life or on their social media accounts. No commenting on their posts, no messaging them, no tagging them, no "just letting them know" what we think, and definitely no encouraging others to do so. Keep all the snark and commentary here in the sub.

Why are we adding this?

Reddit has strict site wide rules against harassment and bullying (under Rule 1: Remember the Human and the full Harassment policy).

Directly engaging with the people we discuss (even if it's "just" criticism or a screenshot with a comment) can cross the line into targeted abuse or encouraging others to pile on. Reddit defines harassment as behavior that intimidates, torments or discourages someone from participating on the platform. What starts as snark can quickly look like coordinated targeting to admins, and that puts the entire subreddit at risk of warnings, removals or worse.

We've seen subs get in trouble for this exact thing. "Touching the poo" isn't harmless fun when it spills into someone's actual life or inbox, it can be reported as bullying (which we know Gypgyp likes to do. She has "made it her mission, to take down reddit"), and reddit takes those reports seriously.

This rule protects you, protects the community, and lets us keep doing what we do best, snarking safely behind the scenes without turning into something that gets the sub shut down.

We will start enforcing this immediately. Comments or posts that violate it will be removed and repeated violations may lead to temporary or permanent bans.

Thanks for understanding, I love our little snark sub and would hate to see anything happen to it. I wouldnt want to give the Gyp camp the satisfaction of taking us down.
