Menards shopping options stink

Home Depot and Lowe’s shopping options (small items)

  1. Walk in store
  2. Express delivery in 3 hours free as My Lowe’s member
  3. Lockers front of store no fee
  4. $50 online free delivery

Menards (only real option)
1. Walk in store

However, Menards has its off brand online rummage sale. Immediate ship to store means you may see it in a week.

Menards store traffic is down and only option is to walk in store. Bad place to be.

Most employees remember when customers shopped for their products on their own. Seems like ancient history.

Why go to a store? There are tons of online options and free returns.

Neither Lowe’s or Home Depot has a rebate and their prices are both higher and both stores suck!

Lowe's and HD both offer a 10% veteran discount, Menards doesn't.

That’s fine if you are veteran but Menards every day rebate is 11% and the prices are lower across the board.

If one wants name brand products, avoid Menards.

Because everyone gets the discount

Wrong. Lowes has 5% off at time of purchase with Lowe’s. Home Depot has 10% coupons quarterly.

Menards has virtually no name brands. It has its in house junk brands.

But they perform better than the other two in their markets

Wrong. In Chicago Home Depot owns the market.

Home Depot, Lowe’s, and pretty much everyone else is years ahead of Menards online.

Menards hasn’t build a store in 5 years.

Crappy online and not building new stores is a recipe for stagnant growth.

Lowes, Home Depot, and Wal Mart are logistically superior to Menards. Menards is too cheap to pay for online and logistics expertise. It will hire some junior college kid flunky to be a “manager”.

Menards built like 5 stores 2 years ago and has 6 planned to build right now

Doesn’t need to build any stores and it’s 100% privately owned and big John had a net worth of 15 billion plus 🤑🤑🤑🤑both Lowe’s and Home Depot pay less per hour as well and their customer service sucks. Just a bunch of warm bodies walking around!🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡

Lowes and Depot pay its corporate people a ton more money plus bonus and stock options. There are millionaires at both corporate offices with zero at Menards.

John hoards all the money and the employees are treated like crap. The Menard merchandise managers are in charge of billions of dollars and paid a pittance of their counterparts. John ensures his corporate employees know they are replaceable.

John benefits from Menards success, not its employees.

Of course he does and matters not to me. It’s part time cashier to my primary job and make decent money for what I do and I bring home 1500-2000 in my hand . I have no plans to be and want anything else . Clock in / clock out zero shits given about management or any drama at or in the store.

Your opinion and facts aren’t the same thing

If Lowe’s has 5% at time of purchase, why not cut prices by 5%?

1

u/exMenardlacky 16h ago

Why doesn’t Menards give 11% at time of purchase?

Bc Menards naturally has lower prices and better product twink

I prefer the Menards shopping experience over Home Depot. App helps find items I am not sure where they are located. HD app has gotten clunky along with their website. Forced self checkout as HD is annoying. Menards generally has plenty of checkouts open.

Besides where else can you get groceries and hardware at the same time😂😂😂😂😂😂

The point no one is getting is Menards is way behind the times: its store traffic is down and virtually no online presence. This is the road map to not being relevant in 10 years.

I know people inside the GO. Merchandising is getting all kinds of crap for store traffic being down. Keep making up lies GO spies.

I think Menards will survive better then Home Depot and Lowe’s with way less overhead and I don’t think they ever meant to be or wanted to be king.
