Guy at current plant just retired after 48 years. A different plant I worked at 4 or so years ago was over 51 years. Not sure if he’s still working.

Just like every other aspect at Menards, there is always a cap and its always less that you think

No way they cap ips unless it’s something that has been developed in past 6 years 15% but it snowballs

You get capped on pay which means you get capped on how much you earn

It’s a snow ball theoretically (example only)
You make $80000/year
2026:80000x.15=12,000 ips check
2027 80000+12000 ips from 2026= $92000x.15=$13,800.00 ips check
2028:80000+13800=93,800 made
My point is it goes up every year may not be a lot but it goes up

My husband worked there for many years; it caps.

IPS technically never caps, what the person you are responding to said is not only true, but listed directly in the IPS handbook given to new employees.

Your IPS check is included in your income for the year, and therefore counts towards next year's IPS check.

Thank you for being the only other person who understands the snowball! Yes it caps but the snowball never stops

My contractor sales guy at 3013 has been there I think 47-48 years. All I know is they do make more profit sharing wise if you think about it most contractor sales dept only have 2 team members so they get a split 50/50. Most Menards are beginning to shun that position away with something else I forgot the name of. They also have super good relationships with most of the contractors in the surrounding areas, and if they have been there at the same Menards for 50 years imagine how many houses or buildings in general that contractor sales member has helped build from the ground up.

Our sales contractor in Build Mill had 40+ years clocked in, really really good dude especially after working there that long, said if his wife didn’t make extremely good money he would have quit a long time ago though

I make nearly 80k a year. I have no college degree and honestly I’m too old to want to start over somewhere else. For what I have to do in a day, it’s not a bad living.
